View from the couch while the two of us battle fevers and runny noses today. I’ll take that any day over the flu I keep hearing about! 🤞🏻
January was pajamas, games, snow, the Talent Show, the Pinewood Derby(and a 1st place finish!), the end of the monkey pacifier, too much slime making, lots of new words, staying close to home and staying warm and cozy. #1secondeveryday #1SEme
I want to start a book club called “Let’s actually read the books we own before we get new ones” this year, anyone want to join me??😂 P.s. I was joking, but I think I actually might😂 I’m going to start one on Goodreads if anyone really does want to join me!
Yesterday, when I needed to see if I could still squeeze him into the sink so he still felt small.
Couch vibes today. #strepistheworst

Happenings around here. Old school Nintendo and a kid with strep over Christmas 😷 The little one is probably somewhere running around taking his diaper off😂
Sending out lots of love and wishes that everyone finds some peace this holiday season before it all gets too crazy and I forget to post!
I’ve accomplished exactly zero things on my to-do list today. We’re still in pajamas. I’m thinking about making a batch of cookies. I actually got a nap this afternoon🙌🏻 He got to play with friends this morning and he was thrilled🧒🏼 JUST the kind of day we were needing!
I was THAT mom today. The one with the 2 year old screaming the whole way through the store. The one who wished she hadn’t picked the cart with the broken buckle🤦🏼♀️ The one with the kid actually pulling things off of shelves and throwing them. The one with the kid who RAN OUT THE FRONT DOORS of the store while I was trying to check out. The one who put cheesecake in the cart to feel a little bit better. The one with the 3rd grader who was so disappointed that I wouldn’t be coming to his class party this afternoon. The one with the 5th grader losing her mind all morning because she was convinced (despite my telling her this wouldn’t happen!) that she’d miss her class party because it’s during her normal clarinet lesson time. *BUT* There was the other Mom in the Aldi parking lot who had been through the whole debacle with us who said, “I just want you to know you’re doing a great job! We’ve all been there!” And there was “free” Starbucks because I realized I had a $5 gift card saved in my Starbucks app! And there will be a nap. And getting paid to work from my kitchen table in yoga pants while said 2 year old naps. And cookie-making supplies. And ingredients to make my favorite veggie cream cheese. And gyros for dinner. And the same 2 year old finally saying some words! And friends to text when it all happens who can laugh with me. And social media to share and vent a little. All of this to say... SERENITY NOW! I hope you’re all hanging in there this week and finding bits of peace where you can❤️
