Along with Ken’s help, We finished the chicken coop for 20 meat birds arriving mid May .
A nice arrangement of Christmas cactuses and the still blooming poinsettia on the window sill set off with a white back drop of fresh snow on April 17th . We should always appreciate the beauty of nature . Yeah right!

Third chapter in my great adventure with multi species cover crops . The yellow are matured oats and field peas that died leaving lots of debris on the beds. The green are younger oat plants, or fall rye along with oilseed radish. Flanking the bed of trial garlic (where all the stakes are) are beds of red clover. I also planted field peas and buckwheat. It’s all looking good going into a long winter .
