• Last day of day care for the year but this definitely won’t be Stella’s last lunch box 🌸 She loves having lunch out of her lunch box, the novelty never wore off and she has these even when at home for lunch - she usually polishes off everything in it 😊

  • Smoothie bowls are becoming a favourite breakfast go-to at the moment. Especially since it’s getting warmer and now that I have my @vitamix_aunz 🌸
Stella and I loved this Superfood Beetroot smoothie bowl. The only issue is they melt so quickly in the heat.... ☀️ 💕 
Recipe below if you’re keen to try. Definitely a good way to get some veggies into the littlies 💖

Superfood Beetroot Smoothie Bowl
2/3c of chopped Beetroot
1/2-1 frozen banana
2t chia seeds
1t goji berries
1/4t pure vanilla extract
Handful of baby kale
1/4c almond milk (add more for a smoothie drink)
1c ice cubes (around 7-8)
1/2T Lucuma powder (optional)
🌟Add all to your blender/vitamix and blend until well combined 🌟Top with fresh fruit / seeds / granola / coconut etc
🌟 You can mix it up. I’ve also added carrot, blueberries and cucumber to this. Just experiment.

  • This week we are having our second week of @myfoodbagnz Fresh Start meals. Last night we had the Spiced Chicken with Lemongrass Scented Lentil Salad. 
My Food Bag has a Gluten free option however this was too big for us serving 4ppl. Our next best option was Fresh Start. The meals are usually GF but some I need to substitute a few ingredients which is easy. I’m also Dairy Free at the moment and again I’m making a few simple substitutes 😊
As I consider myself a bit of a foodie and love cooking and experimenting with recipes, we have opted for the week-on, week-off option so every second week I can get back to designing my own recipes. 
We’re enjoying the time we’re saving in decision making, the quality fresh NZ produce and the resulting healthy yet tasty meals. Stella is also enjoying the meals and loved the Spiced Chicken 😊

  • And so Christmas party season begins 🎄💕 This weekend was the first of our Xmas events. My first night away from wee Freddie. Luckily we had my mum (aka Mally) on hand to look after the kiddies and both Mally and the kids loved it 😊. It’s definitely hard not having grandparents that live in the same city as us so we are so very grateful that mum can pop up to look after the kids when we need her too. 
We had a great night out, definitely not a late one and very quiet compared to parties pre children 😉 And the kids behaved for their Mally.

These pancakes were perfect for the wet morning we had in Auckland today! Kumera and coconut hot cakes from the @littlebirdorganics Little Bird Goodness recipe book. 
Stella and I love these and they’re super simple and nice & healthy. AND free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar 😍
Topped with fresh fruit, coconut @littlebirdorganics Cacao & Superfood Granola and @goodboostco Almond yoghurt 😍
