The Eagles on Chrysler Building 1930 by William van Alen We had the incredible luck to be guided up there by a friendly person, on a terrace right underneath the eagles. Best Manhattan view ever! Even though no longer the world's tallest building since 1931, it is still the world's tallest brick building. The entire crown is clad with silvery Enduro KA-2 metal, an austenitic stainless steel developed in Germany by Krupp and marketed under the trade name Nirosta (a German acronym for nichtrostender Stahl, meaning non-rusting steel).
