Two weeks ago we decided to venture into Eastern Oregon. We thought the landscape would be high desert and agricultural crop land, and most of it was... but we were surprised to find places like this too.
Happy weekending y'all 👋

Been loving these endless empty roads in Central Oregon.
Plenty of fall feels and colors up here in the PNW but we are still holding on to the last bits of summer.
Hi, we're Arial & Jamie! I thought I would introduce ourselves on here seeing as though we haven't before and tell you a little bit about ourselves because we have been getting a few dm's about it recently. We use to be full-time vanlife back when we probably would have been embarrased to tell people we lived out of our adventure mobile, and before either of us had IG accounts. But now its cool so no need to keep it a secret 😉 A few years ago we had wanted to spend a few months road tripping the western states and thought we would camp and stay in hostels... well after staying 3 weeks in a West Hollywood hostel for $500 a week we realized that wasn't going to work (it was the best location though on fairfax & melrose!!) so we looked for the nearest campground which happened to be in Malibu. Guess how much that was a night...?? $50!!! We had a great time there too but that's when we thought okay we need a van so we dont have to fork out so much cash. We decided on a mini-van so it would be cheaper on gas, and found one in Huntington Beach. She was great!! Elena took us all over Cali, Utah, Arizona, WA & OR. But then she got sick. After, we wanted to get an Astro but couldn't find a decent one when Jamie found an ad for Big Kev. He was only $1500 and too good a deal to turn down. It was like moving into a mansion lol. Since then we have lived out of Kev with a few house-sitting gigs in between and a ski season at Mammoth. Currently, we only van on weekends and are stuck in Eastern WA because of a small issue that involves being Australian... a long story for another time.
It seems these days you can't take clean summer air for granted let alone the opportunity to visit Yosemite or Glacier National Park. We were lucky enough to spend a little over 2 weeks in Yosemite last year and got the chance to see these magnificent views without a thick blanket of smoke in the air. I think it was only a few weeks later before closures in the park started happening due to wildfires in the area. This year, Yosemite Valley was closed during its peak summer holiday period and Glacier N.P. has only just reopend its Going-to-the-Sun road which has had limited access since early August. With this year shaping out to be one of the most destructive wildfire seasons yet, and a trend many scientists believe will continue, you might want to start planning your travels accordingly. #yosemitenationalpark #findyourpark #yosemitevalley #upperyosemitefalls #awakethesoul #takeahike #liveyouradventure #adventureculture #theoutbound #choosemountains #mtnchicks #mountainaddict #mountainbabes #stayandwander #outdoorculture #outdoorwomen #girlswhoadventure #liveauthentic #californialove #californiaexplorers #travelcalifornia #caligrammers #californiadreaming #caligram #neverstopexoloring #optoutside #vanlifestyle #vanlifeexplorers #vanning
