My new toy just arrived today #sekonic358 !! I've been slowly making the journey back to film where I first learned how to use a camera in 2002. I've played with my Canon 1v and sent my scans to @photovisionprints for the last two years to get used to colored film since I only ever knew BW film before and I've been so happy with my scans! I know medium format film has taken the wedding industry by storm, which is probably why I’ve been so hesitant to jump back in since I didn’t want to do it because everyone else was. I really wanted to make sure I wanted it for the right reasons and now I honestly can say that I do. My editing has been taking on a more classic feel and the more I shoot the more I can see why now. I'm ready to make a leap of faith and see where it takes me. The word I picked this year is BOLD after all lol. I’m still using all of my digital gear but I’m going to start taking little baby steps with doing a few inspirational couples sessions first (hint hint I will need some models very soon who want to get a little fancy schmancy for me and an awesome florist who wants their blooms photographed) to see if hybrid is a word I want to include in my business. Next step this is investing in the Pentax 645N which after a ton of research seems to be the best fit for me. Rob may think I’ve lost my mind haha but life is too short to always be wanting and dreaming if it won't be a reality. #bold #filmisnotdead #mediumformat #pentax645n

Its wedding day for these two and I couldn't be more excited to be apart their backyard wedding. A little throw back from their beautiful engagement session in Miami last March at the lovely @vizcaya_museum also praying for FL today as hurricane Irma approaches. Hope everyone stays safe.
The things you can do with a veil. You can let them flow in the wind, throw them up in the air and even shoot underneath them which is probably my all time favorite! The possibilities are endless and the longer they are the more epic the photos get! #christynicolephotography #cnpbrides
