You know the saying goes “The shoe makers kids never have shoes well thats also true that the photographer never has updated photos of their own family in front of the camera lol yes I’m so guilty. We've been lacking updated photos for a while now I know and I'm hoping next year will be our first year to send out official Christmas holiday cards to our friends and family haha. These were taken last year while I was 25lbs heavier and our house was just literally breaking ground while we were living apart in random houses in different states lol yes it was a struggle but these are still a favorite because it includes our little family of 4.
As usual for December I’m a little MIA over here since I’ve been in full editing mode finishing up all of my Fall weddings. So much gorgeous being delivered.
Can’t wait to try out these adorable mini cookie cutters to decorate my pies. Amazon for the win!
Although Rob and I won’t be celebrating Thanksgiving on the official day (thank you Navy) we plan to celebrate it on Friday with all of our favorite holiday foods. Even if it’s just the two of us and we might have left overs for a week bahahaha. I’m just so excited to finally eat our first meal at our beautiful barn wood table!
What better way to end an engagement session than being in a long flowing dress with glowy sunset light.
If I'm being REAL with you on Friday Intros, this year has been one of the most challenging ones for me. Everyone may seem like they have it all together on pretty IG feeds but the truth is behind pretty photos there are still struggles. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...Building/moving into our new Virginia home, which still has a LONG ways to go before it’s done or its Christy decorated hehe. I find joy in decorating for Christmas even though we still don't have any curtains on the 2nd floor including our bedroom lol yikes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...Moving my business to a different state and accepting the fact that it might be a long time before I feel like a Virginia wedding photographer and won't have to drive 6 hours to NJ anytime I want to work.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...You soon realize the things you miss the most when your husband is in the military. Moments together like his voice, walking the dogs, eating dinner, sleeping in on a Sunday morning, going places together even if its Home Depot or enjoying life experiences before its too late.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ....Military movers are STILL missing a 1,000lbs of our stuff but the only thing I want is my beautiful desk that I put my heart & soul into restoring/painting. I never thought I would be so attached to something so meaningless but I'm proud of it. I edited my very first wedding on it and it’s been with me every step of the way with CNP. My office is the only room in the house that’s NOT unpacked but I'm just not ready to face it because CNP doesn't feel whole. My kitchen island is my new desk but my kitchen is my happy place so I don’t mind. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...When to start a family and to proceed with IVF-PGD because having a healthy child that won't have to die/suffer from or carry the gene, Muscular dystrophy onto the next generation is better than risking it naturally to me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ...Taking control of living a healthy lifestyle for ME and to manage my thyroid disease. Giving up Gluten and Diary was HARD but it’s worth it. For the first time EVER I feel great and feel so confident in my new body.
