Yesterday I threw on a red wig and first looked like a pageboy. After collecting some other random pieces, I realized I was actually Miranda. She gets overlooked when people claim what SATC character they are, but let me tell ya — y’all are missing out. The best part?! I had a beret so post France Carrie could join me too.
Beverly Hills, what a thrill!
I’ve been thinking about how clothing can invoke so many memories. I wore this piece to meet a little do-gooder cutie. I had a fabulous night with close friends while hosting, chatting, and shamelessly flirting with said cutie. I LOVE to dress and I love even more that my threads have the ability to help me recollect. Sidenote: I’m proud that I’m posting a throwback photo on a Wednesday. One of the few times I’ve been early to something in my life. Also, sorry for being pensive on a mirror selfie. If I’m feeling myself — you’re likely going to see it documented. *flips hair + exits*
This is the best example of our friendship. Yesterday was a dream and @ash__val was a vision. It was an honor to stand by her side!
This song. This vibe. This dress — My happy place.
Alright y’all — looks like my audition for @nbcthevoice will not be shown. This June I had an amazing opportunity. I was flown to LA and met some of the BEST people this world has to offer. For a month my job was to sing, sit through legal meetings, take part in wardrobe fittings, and makeup applications -- I was living my best life. Eventually I walked out on the stage and sang. At the end of the song, the coaches were not facing me and my heart broke just a little. They were super nice and encouraging. Blake gave me a hug and I'm pretty sure they were all mad to lose someone who looked so fabulous. Yeah, I said it! Honestly upset America will never see my outfit. As you just read the last line, it won't be a surprise to know I was raised with plenty of self esteem. Failing doesn't make me question my worth or talent. I learned a lot especially about the industry as a whole -- this only makes me stronger. And hungrier, which leads me to the point of the post. I was offered the chance to participate in The Voice on Snapchat -- a mini competition that pairs with the show. This episode will be available on the app SUNDAY. Stay tuned, I'll post a link once it's live and I NEED YOUR VOTE. You can help me get the chance to head back to LA, win, and appear on a live show this season!
We won’t be bringing this kinda fashion heat, but we will be providing all the jams tonight at @lexgreenlakeside alongside our good friends @thewessmith and @tayloraustindye! Music starts at 7pm — hope to see y’all there.
I didn’t take enough #bts shots — but shocker, I did manage to grab this mirror selfie with my hair stylist Megan. She took my weave places it’s never been y’all! #thevoice
80’s night — need I say more?! Swipe to listen!!
I thought I’d be so overwhelmed when I first visited NYC. Instead, I experienced the contrary. I was swept up in magic — in the hustle and bustle, the lights, the big city buzz. I always say I love when people surprise me and on this trip, I surprised myself. I wasn’t expecting to adore a place that seemed so wildly foreign to me — today I can’t help but be wistful about going back!
