We also have some availability for privates sessions on the 25 November. 9.30am-10.45am The Mat Class In this movement session, participants will flow through the classical mat sequence with spontaneous zest and pleasure. Guided by the movement practice of breath, balance, flowing motion and dimension, Jenna will lead the class through as journey of connection through movement. 11am - 1pm The Roll Up Can be one of the most elusive exercises in one's Pilates practice and yet, holds the keystone to embracing many if not all articulation and rolling exercises. In this mini-workshop, we will break down the components of the spinal articulation and learn strategies to Bridge the Gap in your rolling practice. 1.30pm- 3.30pm Diversify Your Reformer Practice In this workshop, participants will explore the origins of common Pilates reformer exercises to set the foundation for creative applications. From there, we'll experience variations on those themes that span Jenna's expertise as a Fletcher Pilates Teacher to her dance pedagogy knowledge. These diverse movement experiences will serve as building blocks of any teacher or mover's reformer practice. 4-6pm Self-care for Pilates professionals In this workshop, participants will take inventory of the areas in their professional practice where they are showing up more than they are filling up. Using visualisation and strategic exercises developed by Jenna, you'll leave with a new understanding of the tools and skills you need to support yourself as a movement professional. A one hit wonder of the full Mat is sometimes enough to connect and get your body moving! So I’ve been mulling over this week. Has Pilates been baby proofed in the U.K.? Have we allowed “latest scientific research” to dumb down movement? To scare us as teachers giving our clients and ourselves freedom of movement? I think some schools of Pilates have.
