9 years of being Mr and Mrs 💜 Today might be filled with work and looking after a baby with croup, but next year we’ll have a big party to celebrate the big anniversary of our big day 🎉
This was Sullivan last night. He was a bit unsettled and by morning was wheezing as he breathed and started having a raspy cough. After 50 minutes trying to get through to the doctors, we went to the walk in centre and after an assessment, they determined he has Croup. They said we should go to the hospital so he could be observed. A&E then the children’s centre followed. Steroids and some ibuprofen helped him feel and sound a lot better and six hours after arriving at the hospital, we were discharged. He’s just gone down to sleep in his cot, although the cough has stirred him already a few times. Poor mite. Keeping a close eye on him. Horrible when they’re poorly, but the cuddles today have been lovely.
We’ve sold our house! It all actually happened eight weeks ago but we’ve now got over most of the hurdles during the sale process and we visited our new house again today so we can really get excited now 🏡 #newhome #newbeginning #tothenextchapter
I’m going to have my first pumpkin spice latte today and yes that’s something I get excited about ☕️ 🎃 And so what if I’ve already got a pumpkin out? It’s never too early! 😜
(#AD) I’m still buzzing after attending the @thorntonschocs VIP launch of their new look Birmingham High Street Craftery last night, and look at the haul I’ve brought home to enjoy... top recommendation so far, the Salted Caramel Pearls are to die for 😋 #thorntonsbirmingham #passtheloveon
(#AD) ‘Make this the best sweet shop in town’ 🍬 I’ve been at a really exciting preview today of the brand spanking new @thorntonschocs shop on the High Street, which officially opens it’s s doors tomorrow and boy, is Birmingham in for a sweet treat! 🍫 I’ll pop up some stories so you can have a sneak peek too at this chocolate wonderland... #thorntondchocolates #thorntonsbirmingham #presslaunch #passtheloveon
Getting all the autumn feels 🕯 How soon is too soon for pumpkins? Asking for a friend... 😂
I wish this were right now but alas I’m at home, having done a morning’s worth of housework whilst hubs has cleared the back garden and we’ve juggled a very unsettled Sulley bear. We think it could be his first cold as he had a temperature this morning, and he’s off his food too, plus he’s purring in his sleep.
We made it to Friday and the first week of school and nanny’s/nursery. We’ve only been running late on all the days but I guess we’ll get there eventually! And Sullivan has settled in well with the new routine, even sleeping for 11 hours the past two nights, he’s been that worn out from all the fun 😂
He’s getting a bit big now, he’ll be holding me up soon 😂 First day of year 2, swipe to see how much he has grown since he started school two years ago 🍎
First day of school and nursery for these two best buds 💙💙
Is it too early to start transforming my home and wardrobe ready for autumn?! 🍂
Happy Monday and good luck to everyone starting / going back to school or work. My two buds are enjoying a couple of days an Nanny’s then our new morning routine begins...! 🤞
Last day of summer with Mummy and Daddy, two more days until school so spending time with his Nanny. Said to him that he’s not going to watch television all day and he told me “but that’s how you get to exercise”. Just as he was ready in July for the school holidays, he’s ready now for school to start I think! 🍎
Hello September 👋 How long until I can get into full on autumn mode?? Pumpkin spice lattes, cosy candles, chunky knits and boots ☕️ 🕯 🧶 👢 It’s just the best, isn’t it? #autumnvibes🍁 #autumniscoming #helloseptember #autumnisawesome
Trying to cook a few different things rather than just tried and trusted meals. This was sea bass, seasoned with black pepper, on a bed of leek sautéed with chorizo and mash plus some broccoli 🐟🥦🥔 and it was pretty good! What quick and easy meals do you throw together on a typical week day? 🥘
I can’t believe the summer holidays are nearly over either Sullivan! Well, I can, because the school run feels like it was a zillion weeks ago. Are you in the camp of looking forward to the return of school and routine, or those dreading it all?
I’m prepped for the back to school / start of nursery routine. Ethan and Sullivan each have a week’s worth of school / play clothes, individually bundled up per day, with everything in one zipped bag. This is so I can get Sullivan ready quickly (I waste a lot of time trying to put together outfits and find matching socks!) plus they’ll be a spare set of clothes ready to go, and so Ethan has everything he needs, all together, so he can get himself ready with minimal fuss (hopefully!). He’s even got socks with the days of the week on them. Each Sunday when the laundry is done, I’ll match everything together again for the week ahead - a bit of extra prepping at the weekend should help save time every morning.
Work is going well so far; with the summer holidays still going and Ste on annual leave, it’s made the transition easier, but Sullivan has done some settling in sessions at nursery this week so we’ve all got a new routine to get used to from next week. Ethan was already missing his little brother, and he was only at nursery for three hours! #ethanandsullivan
Got to love a long arm selfie 🤳 trying to get the whole family in ☺️
