What will be interesting to see, however, is what else Samsung may unveil alongside the Galaxy S9-series. Samsung Galaxy S9 The star of Unpacked 2018 and perhaps the highlight of MWC 2018 is expected to be the Galaxy S9. The successor to the Galaxy S8 has been leaked plenty of times over the past few months that all but confirm the phones design. As per the renders we've seen, the Galaxy S8 will look similar to the Galaxy S8 with an edge-to-edge screen and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Samsung will not be changing things too much on the exterior, except that the fingerprint sensor will be placed below the rear camera. Most of the changes will be under-the-hood with regards to cameras and processors among other things. The Galaxy S9 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 chipset or its in-house Exynos 9810 SoC depending on the market. The handset will likely sport a 5.8-inch WQHD+ (2960x1440) Super AMOLED Infinity display and will be offered with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy S9+ The bigger of the two flagships, the Galaxy S9+ will also look mostly similar to its predecessor with just a couple of noticeable changes. The phone will bear a dual rear camera setup that was previously seen on the Galaxy Note 8 and the fingerprint sensor will be placed below the camera rather than on its side. Some of the specs will be similar to the Galaxy S9 including Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 9810 chips. With regards to everything else, the Galaxy S9+ will be more loaded flagship with a bigger display, improved cameras and more memory among other things. The Galaxy S9+ will sport a 6.2-inch WQHD+ (2960x1440) Super AMOLED with an 18:5:9 aspect ratio.
Hubballi: Some advocates, writers and activists have raised questions on the legal sanctity of the “No Helmet, No Petrol” rule Hubballi-Dharwad police wants to implement starting February 22. The rule, says Uma Mahesh Vaidya, a writer on legal issues, is in violation of Article 19(1)(g) of the Constitution which allows one to practice any legal profession, trade or business. “However, one cannot cross the limit of doing others’ duties, who is police in this case. Of course one or two petrol bunk owners can voluntarily deny fuel in the interest of bike riders. If all bunks adopt this rule, it becomes an indication that they are pressurized by some external agencies to do a job which is not related to their business. If one approaches the district consumer forum, complaining of denial of service, then petrol bunks will definitely be penalized,” Uma opines. Rajendra Haripura, an advocate at District Session Court in Dharwad, points out that the police initiative is nowhere mentioned in any Act or Rule. “If they want to make it legal, they have to submit a proposal to the government to amend Section 129 of The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Section 230 of The Karnataka Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. As the Act is central, it’s a little difficult to make amendment and not possible to implement in the near future. These Sections assert wearing of protective headgear, but no Section of any Act or Rule make helmet compulsory to get petrol,” he asserts. Mohan Patil, another advocate, feels that police should review their decision with respect to the legal aspects before implementing the rule. “Otherwise, it just looks like they are trying to transfer their responsibility on others. They should study judgments of the Supreme Court and high courts, which have asserted that it’s the duty of traffic police and police authorities to ensure proper enforcement of the helmet rule. Hence, petrol bunks may get stuck in legal clutches if they deny petrol to those not wearing helmet,” he says. “Yes, it does not have any legal sanctity, but has only socially concern. We have not ordered petrol bunks legally, but requested them to be a part of the social concern and they have agreed to
NEWS about 13-digit mobile number in India is fake : department of telecom 2018-02-20 INDIA 2 If you have been reading reports that the Centre is planning to bring in 13-digit mobile numbers, please ignore them. The department of telecommunications (DoT) on Wednesday said there was no such proposal, panning all the confusion doing the rounds on news websites and social media. The DoT has ordered all telecom service providers in the country to start issuing 13-digit mobile numbers to SIM-based M2M devices, which it said will co-exist with 10-digit mobile numbers scheme. It rubbished reports that claimed that normal retail mobile numbers would also be shifted to 13-digit mobile numbers. The 10-digit mobile numbers scheme will stay for retail mobile numbers. DOT (dept of telecom ) on Wednesday said there was no such proposal, panning all the confusion doing the rounds on news websites and social media.
