It’s a little house that sits on a hill. The front of it is green but the rest of the sides are blue. There are muddy paw prints on the door, saw horses in the yard, and projects scattered about. There are chickens in the back, rabbits in hutches, and a garden that lays dormant under the snow in the front yard. It’s a humble abode. But it’s our humble home. And it’s prettiest when the snow falls, and the woodstove roars, and I’m reminded that everything I need is within those mismatched walls 💜👩🏻🌾🐓 #home #family #ilovemylife #littlehouse #homesteading #farmher #motherhood #womanhood
I somehow ended up with both of the @langehair curling wands — 25 mm and the 32 mm. I’ve been using the 25 mm and hadn’t touched the 32. But today I thought I’d switch it up. Loving the natural look of the bigger curls! Yes, even farmher mama’s like lookin pretty sometimes 😉👩🏻🌾😘 Back to reality tomorrow! #haircare #farmher #motherhood #curlyhair #langehair
Good morning, from winter wonderland Virginia 💜❄️ #snow #virginia #homesteading #farmher
My list for 2018 just keeps getting longer. Dear Amy, in case you have forgotten, you have VERY LIMITED SPACE 😂😂 Shut up, Amy... #allthethings #gardening #homesteading #herbs #farmher #bakercreek
There is a maturity that you reach in life (notice I didn't say age) where you are fully confident in who you are, what you are, and why you are. Certainly, there are physical characteristics that you have that you may always be self-conscious of, but I'm not talking about that. What I'm talking about is so much deeper than that. We all reach this level of maturity at different ages. I've met teenagers who have reached it, and I've met 40 year old's who are no where in sight of reaching it. I don't know what the trick is. I suppose we all have to walk through different things in life in order to reach it. And I suppose there are some who will never reach it because their mind, bitterness, self-doubt, and immaturity blocks them from doing so. What am I talking about? This is what I'm talking about... It is incredibly liberating to not have to prove yourself, your worth, or your intentions to anyone. Ever. Whether it's in a friendship, a business relationship, your marriage, to someone who doesn't like you, or to thousands of people online. Along with this liberation comes the realization that you don't have to open your mouth every time you disagree with someone, you don't have to argue just to prove your point, you don't have to be passive aggressive to make yourself feel better about your own insecurities and frustrations, you don't have to guilt yourself because you aren't what other people think you should be (or falsely say that you are), and you don't have to over-explain yourself or your intentions because people will always perceive them the way they wish to no matter what you say....it's a heart issue in their own hearts. Period. Mind blown, I know. Something so simply to understand and apply, yet so complicated. I think that social media is the worst thing ever created by the human race. And yet, in the same breath, I can say that it can also be the most useful for the work of Christ. It is the most beautiful thing because I can connect with tens of thousands of you....every single one of you. But today you get to choose. Today you get to choose who you are, what you are, why you are...
