My skin has never been better after following @carolinehirons skin advice. I love that this cheat sheet on her blog about skin tips is for teachers & nurses. She gets us! #notmanybathroombreaks
I found this by accident and maybe I'm the last to know this but did y'all know you can make collections of the Instagram posts you save? This will make it so much easier to find posts. Just hold down the save flag at the bottom right corner and add to a collection or create a new one.
Today in Science we read Oh Say Can You Seed and drew diagrams of the plant parts as we read and discussed it. I just love how happy this kid is that she included a smiling cloud and sun and she named her flower Flo Flo. 😍 #ilovekidart
Student created Kahoot! In Google Classroom the kids had an assignment to write 2 math problems. I will pick one from each kid to create a Kahoot game for tomorrow. They even had pictures to go with them. I had them create it in Slides so that I could copy and paste their text and include their images. I didn't correct any of their spelling or grammar. I did tell them that the other students would be reading their work so they should check it. #writingforapurpose
In honor of our state Math test that starts tomorrow, my team will be sporting this shirt. Pretty much sums up the test! #showyourwork
We ended our telling time and elapsed time unit this week with a race around the world. The kids visited 6 of the continents and collected stamps on their passport as they correctly answered the word problems. I just uploaded this file to my store and it's 50% off for the next 24 hours!
The kids have been asking for a pet all year. So I obliged and got them one. 😂 Meet Jeff! (The kids' name choices were interesting. He was almost called Lil Squid but was one vote short.) 😜
We started our plants unit with a gallery walk. I placed pictures of different plants on paper around the room. The kids had to write a comment or question about the plants. They had one minute to write and rotated to the next picture when I rang the bell. Quick and easy but so engaging! Their reactions to this plant always cracks me up!
Our 3rd grade team is now 1:1 with Chromebooks! I'd love any ideas for what you use them for in your classroom!
