Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm thankful for so many blessings in my life; more than I have room to write down here! One of those blessings is the work that I get to do! I love my job and I am so grateful to all of you who have trusted me to capture your special moments! 😘 PC:@mary_janebutler
“Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak, brave enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory. “Build me a son whose wishes will not take the place of deeds; a son who will know Thee — and that to know himself is the foundation stone of knowledge. “Lead him, I pray, not in the path of ease and comfort, but under the stress and spur of difficulties and challenge. Here let him learn to stand up in the storm; here let him learn compassion for those who fail …” “Build me a son whose heart will be clear, whose goal will be high; a son who will master himself before he seeks to master other men; one who will reach into the future, yet never forget the past. “And after all these things are his, add, I pray, enough of sense of humor, so that he may always be serious, yet never take himself too seriously. “Give him humility, so that he may always remember the simplicity of true greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, and the meekness of true strength. “Then, I, his father, will dare to whisper, ‘I have not lived in vain.'” -General Douglas MacArthur I photographed a baptism last weekend and then went to this little man's home afterwards for a newborn session. I thought this poem/prayer so fitting. Isn't this the prayer we have for all of our children? 🙏🏻😇
Here's a little sneak peek for this sweet couple! For their engagement session we went back to the place where he proposed of course! 💕😊 Congratulations Mallory and Nick!!
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her. Eph 5:25 ❤️ I had the honor of photographing my niece's wedding this past weekend. As I've been sitting at my computer downloading and backing up cards and culling through images for a sneak peek, I came across this one and it stopped me in my tracks. I immediately thought about this verse in Ephesians. The sky had opened up when it was time for bridal party portraits. I was so touched when I saw how he protected his bride from the rain. A little sacrificial act that means so much. This one picture says so much about marriage and about these two. It is so evident how deeply they care about one another. They are going to have a beautiful marriage ❤️ I can't wait to share more from this joyous day!
