Get ready to go back in time, with a special Medieval two-night event taking place in Pietrasanta over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of August. Taking over the old town, there will be market stalls, performances, falconers’ shows and a Medieval-themed dinner menu will be available at the cloister of Saint Agostino and at participating restaurants throughout the city. Organized in collaboration with the Versiliana Foundation, the Medieval nights offer residents and tourists the opportunity to appreciate the ancient history, art and architecture of Pietrasanta under a new light, while enjoying a walk under the stars along knights, damsel, squires and artisans.
Kicking off this Thursday at 9.30PM, in the square in front of the Cathedral, is the awards ceremony of the annual poetry contest dedicated to Nobel prize-winning author Giosuè Carducci, born in Pietrasanta in 1835. Winners will be announced as part of a show featuring live readings and performances. An unmissable summer night, to be spent under the stars and surrounded by art in all its forms.
