And now for the rest of the collection! I have to admit, having the movie ingrained in my mind had an influence here with the opening credits with the Kansas cloudy sky background. The silver was great to have at my disposal for all the stars and it also gives it an Art Deco vibe that is present throughout the 1939 classic. Of course, Dorothy’s ‘journey’ doesn’t start in Oz, but on her Kansas farm. This print gives some color ‘relief’ to the other prints in the collection, but it also helps tell her story. Auntie Em, Uncle Henry make some appearances here along with the twister! Keeping it more colorless, relates to both the movie and the book. Baum refers to the Kansas landscape as vast, dark, gloomy and full of tornadoes.
