It doesn’t look like much but hopefully, one day, this gardenia tree will grow into something strong and beautiful. @saysjana gave me the idea to plant a tree after the loss of our baby and it helps. It still hurts every single day, I still think of her every single day. But every day, I look at this tree I planted for my daughter and I don’t know why, but it helps.
Books + tea + cats = my life, all the time but especially on weekends. About to start Murder at the Brightwell, which I’ve seen recommended on #showusyourbooks several times. Perfect for the #readathon with @saysjana and @lifeaccordingtosteph 📚
You’re not a real crazy cat lady until you have more cat shirts than cats 😉
Finally picked up the rest of my library holds.... only problem is, which one to start first? 🙈 also, my cats LOVE library books. They don’t care about books I own, but they always want to investigate library books. #porridgereads
I don’t know what to write in this caption to adequately express just how much I love this necklace, so this may sound a bit corny. My best friends got it for me and it is something beautiful to commemorate and honour something awful and devastating. I feel loved and it gives me so much joy, which I am all about in 2019. So, I love my besties. I searched two countries to find the best ones 😉
I never used to be a flowers kind of girl, but these have made me smile every single morning and I have needed that smile every single morning. So naturally, I now love flowers. 2019 is the year of more of the things that make me happy, big or small. Bring on the flowers 💐
‘Scuse the dirty mirror, I should clean it, but first let me show you my awesome Hanson tee 💁♀️ Millie is not impressed. #hanson #hansonstringtheory
A year ago, Mum told me Pacey wasn’t doing very well and it was time to say goodbye. But with extra medication and care, she was able to stay with us for another year. She died yesterday and the world is a sadder place without her. She was the sweetest dog, always happy and friendly. We joked that she’d be the worst guard dog ever because all you had to do was say hello and she’d be wagging her tail in greeting (unless you were the rubbish truck, then, no). I named her after Pacey in Dawson’s Creek, don’t judge, I was 18. She gave great hugs and thought she was a lap dog. If you stood still, she’d sit on your feet. She just wanted to be as close to you as possible. She was a complete nut job and my favourite dog in the whole world. She lived a long life but not long enough. I will always miss her but I’m so thankful I got to be one of the humans she loved.
Yesterday, @fourntwentyusa made me the happiest expat that ever expat’d. Now I have 48 meat pies in my freezer and I’m not sharing! Hopefully they last me till they come back to this area! #expat #aussieinamerica #fourntwenty #meatpie
I’m doing that thing where I post a photo I already shared on my Instagram stories 🤷♀️ we saw Shania Twain last night and we had a fabulous time in our matching That Don’t Impress Me Much tees 💁♀️ meanwhile if you’d like to feel as old as I do right now, the album Come On Over came out over 20 years ago. Cool.
Everyone at work was like ‘you got big plans for the long weekend?’ And I was like ‘oh yeah, crazy, so many things to do, busy busy crazy crazy’ and in reality I’m like ‘how many books can I read in 3 days?’ It’s very exciting over here. Also, Penny is extremely needy. #bookstagram #catsofinstagram #booksandcats
If I don't get a photo of my cats enjoying open windows, did it even happen?
