I’m doing that thing where I post a photo I already shared on my Instagram stories 🤷♀️ we saw Shania Twain last night and we had a fabulous time in our matching That Don’t Impress Me Much tees 💁♀️ meanwhile if you’d like to feel as old as I do right now, the album Come On Over came out over 20 years ago. Cool.
Everyone at work was like ‘you got big plans for the long weekend?’ And I was like ‘oh yeah, crazy, so many things to do, busy busy crazy crazy’ and in reality I’m like ‘how many books can I read in 3 days?’ It’s very exciting over here. Also, Penny is extremely needy. #bookstagram #catsofinstagram #booksandcats
If I don't get a photo of my cats enjoying open windows, did it even happen?
Enjoying this beautiful spring weather 🌺

Have had such a fantastic birthday weekend! Got to hang with all my favourite people and do fun things, like @boardandbrushlouisville - highly recommend!
Jeez Millie, you're almost as fat as the pig. Jk it's just fluff. She loves this rug so much I can't handle how cute it is. #catsofinstagram #catstagram
I highly recommend getting a cat kindle stand. Very handy as long as the cat stays put. #porridgereads #catstagram
How many croutons is too many croutons? Asking for a friend.
6 years ago today, I got on a plane to go live in America for a year. KC and I were not together and I was going to live with a friend who went above and beyond letting someone she didn't know that well live with her and her family. I had no job but had 2 weeks to find one or my visa would be invalid. I had big plans for when the year ended and they didn't include staying in America. Fast forward two months, KC and I are back together. Another couple months and I've moved in with him, then we were engaged, married, 1 apartment, 3 cats, 2 houses, several trips around the world including 2 home... so much has happened in 6 years and I'd be lying if I said this day wasn't bittersweet. I love my life and I wouldn't change a thing. I miss home so much it hurts sometimes, but I am so thankful I've been able to go back so I can look at photos like this one (golden gaytimes for life). I've now lived in another country for almost 20% of my life and that is insane to me. One day it will be 50% and one day it will be like 80%, and that terrifies and guts me you guys. I still wouldn't change a thing, but I allow myself to feel sad about that because it comes with the knowledge that I made the right decision - KC, cats, friends - they are all here. I miss my family but I have the family I chose here. So happy expativersary to me, here's to the next 6 years and more, hopefully they include a visit home 😉 🇦🇺 #expatlife #expativersary
