He is the surgical Director of Adult and pediatric Liver and Intestinal Transplantation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and professor of surgery at Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons. We couldn´t be more proud to have him as one of our founding members.

Implementing our project in Latin America and the Caribbean means an automatic increase both in availability and affordability of pediatric liver transplant for patients in need. This means instant hope for low-income households that have limited to no treatment options. Change is possible. Many factors contribute to children’s lack of access to liver transplants in Latin America and the Caribbean. A lack of healthcare professionals adequately trained in pediatric liver transplants is actually the most important factor. Our 3-year training program aims to change this reality in a short-term period. Why wait? #changinglives #trainingprogram #whywait.
Liver Live Donors help us to perform our Transplants. The goal of FundahigadoAmerica is to work in making this possible in Latin America. #LiverTransplant #FHA
Chronic liver diseases in children have different age of onset as well as different causes. Many time a #LiverTransplant can be the cure. Visit our web page, learn about program and join us!
FHA seeks to replicate the successful initiative carried out in other countries of Latin America, bringing hope and life to pediatric patients who suffer from severe liver diseases.
