I’ve just been feeling the pull to share this photo from Jessica and Weston’s wedding a couple weeks ago. Mostly because I’m in love with that laugh. Plus the undercut and blush dress really top it off. 😍🙌🏻 #carrieswailsphotography
Liz and Jeremy’s wedding yesterday was basically all things amazing. It had everything I could ever want, lots of dogs, kind people, la croix, tacos, live music, and this divine sun on top of the grand Mesa with all Fall leaves. #carrieswailsphotography
Liz and Jeremy are getting married today and I am pumped to be up on the Mesa with all the Fall colors with them. We had tons of fun at their engagement session earlier this year! 😍 #carrieswailsphotography
24 hours in Winter Park at 12,000 feet above sea level and it was just what I needed to feel reinvigorated for the end of wedding season this Fall. Tom and Tom are two handsome, sweet clients who have been so great to work with that I’m sad it’s over already! #carrieswailsphotography
Can’t wait for this wedding with Tom and Tom tomorrow in Winter Park! It’s going to be gorgeous and with two rad people to boot! #carrieswailsphotography
Jessica and Weston's wedding from last weekend has been blogged! I shared such gorgeous sunny, colorful photos earlier over the weekend so I thought I'd share the other weather we had, which was windy and overcast. Wind makes for gorgeous textured dress shots though and black and white was speaking to me with this image.
Katie and Matt's recent wedding full of daisies, sunny skies, and happy people in Golden, CO is on the blog today. This wedding felt like it was bringing me back in time. Everyone was wandering around with daisies in their hair, and little flowers were in every nook and cranny. It had the perfect vibe! #carrieswailsphotography
I couldn’t decide which one to post first so I’m just glad Instagram lets us do both. Jessica and Weston got married yesterday and it was obviously gorgeous.
It’s been a whirlwind month. Those of you who follow me may already know that I accepted a job to teach third grade. I haven’t taught in 10 years so I had a lot of prep and reorientation to do. Plus getting all the dogs and our life used to a whole new schedule....it’s been a bit chaotic. Let’s be clear though. I’m not quitting photography. It doesn’t change a thing. I’m not doing it because business is bad either. Business is awesome and I love being an entrepreneur. My main reasoning is, why not? I have time, skills, motivation and passion. I think it’s okay to pursue more than one thing. I’ve also never been sure I would retire on wedding photography, but would do it as long as clients will have me. That all said - I had a short break from weddings as I got into the swing of teaching too and now we are back with a full fall schedule of both things and pregnancy! Whew! So I wanted to to share Katie and Matt’s wedding this week. It was amazing. My favorite thing about these two and this image is the way they embrace their height difference so openly. They didn’t care about the heteronormative stereotypes that people put out there. They’re just them and they’re in love. I have so many favorites from their day. Like Kermit’s Rainbow Connection father/daughter dance song and lots of happy tears, cute kids, and daisies everywhere. Couldn’t ask for a better day to come back to after a mid-season break! #carrieswailsphotography
@marriedbymaree is on the blog today (link in my profile) and I bragged about how awesome she is as an officiant all over the place. Her ceremonies are just THE BEST and having her at a wedding is worth every penny and then some. Maree’s talent for putting together custom ceremonies is just unparalleled. Plus she’s a nerd. She really is one of the coolest people I have the privilege of knowing and she didn’t even pay me to say that. #carrieswailsphotography
