Drop sets. Do you love them or hate them? I have REALLY come to love them. They are so efficient and require all the fibers in my muscles to react when performing them. What does that mean? The specific set of muscles you are working will have that initial “pump” but also be flooded with all the oxygenated and protein rich blood which leads to bigger, stronger, leaner muscle! 💪🏻
The thought of having to have everything “perfect” is exhausting. Be authentic. Be you. Don’t let someone’s highlight Instagram reel make you think you don’t have it all together. None of us do. 👏🏻

B has been the same kind and even keeled person as the day I met him. Start the movement. #justsayyestocarbs I can’t understand why anyone would say no to carbs. 🤯 Leading a low carb lifestyle 24/7 is just not sustainable and can be detrimental. I’m talking to you, LADY. Women actually need COMPLEX carbs (no, not bread!) to keep their hormones in homeostasis. Also, when you slash carbs, it may work for a little bit as far as weight loss goes, but it will send your cortisol levels into over drive and tell your body to start storing fat for energy. Thanks but no thanks.✌🏻Carbs are your friend.
Don’t think about it as “losing.” Look at it as a learning experience. This is your moment for growth. 〰️

There’s nothing quite like a summer cold to knock you down. 🙄 I’ve been battling one for a week and just now think I’m coming up from it with more days off from exercising than normal. Most people think if they aren’t exercising, then they’re slacking. Wrong! If you are sick or not at 100%, REST. Give your body the time it needs to repair. Over exercising or challenging your body when it’s sick is just a recipe for disaster. Hello injuries or adrenal fatigue. Take time for yourself weekly. One or two rest days won’t hurt your progress, it enhances it.
Exercise is not a punishment. Exercise is a way to celebrate what your body CAN do. And it’s a great way to measure PROGRESS. Who got in their workout today?! 👊🏻

Do you meal plan or do you fly by the seat of your pants? I always meal plan for dinners to keep us on track. When it comes to lunches, I always have leftovers on hand or staples in the house to keep me set for success. Take 10 minutes to plan for the week ahead. Don’t make it hard & don’t think it has to be fancy. Have a rotation of favorites you can choose from each week. Make your grocery list and stick to it. I’ve also found that grocery pick up keeps me from throwing JUNK in my cart and I actually SAVE money. “#winning
Low carb dinner done riiiight. Grass Fed Beef with Everything But The Bagel seasoning (Got mine at @Costco_doesitagain) along the edges and grilled to perfection! I topped it with a little bit of sweet hot jalapeños and Dijon mustard. I may have overdone the Broccolini though. Oops!
Cutting calories? No thanks. Not eating carbs? Yeah right. Hours in the gym? Get real. Creating a lifestyle that allows for cheats AND success? SIGN. ME. Up! I promise you 1000x over that the FASTer Way is the best way. Who has time to be a slave to boiled chicken, 3 hours in the gym everyday, and no treats? NO 👏🏻 ONE👏🏻 that’s who. I encourage you to give this a shot. Set yourself up for success. Feel AMAZING. Have tons of ENERGY. And have CONFIDENCE that you know that what you’re doing for yourself will produce RESULTS far beyond the scale (because FYI it doesn’t tell the whole truth!) We start Monday, the 15th. How many times have you said, “Oh I could NEVER do that?” I’m raising my hand because I’ve been there and still am. Let me tell you something, if you want to do it, then be willing and open. You don’t have to already have the skills to succeed, but you should have the will to learn those skills. So tell me, what do you wish you could do that you don’t currently have the “skill” for? Seriously. You can do anything if you’re willing to work hard.

Gopher doesn’t get much screen time anymore since Luke came along, but he doesn’t ever let us forget who was first. 🤪 We officially rescued Gopher almost 7 years ago. He’s quirky, sweet, and loyal to a fault. Fun fact: The years soon after we adopted Gopher led us to be foster dog parents for @lowcountrylabrescue. WHAT A CRAZY RIDE THAT WAS?! If it wasn’t for Brian, we might be a 4 dog family. Are you a dog person? Do you have a dog & what’s their name? I am a self proclaimed crazy dog lady.
PROTEIN! One of the three pillars of macronutrients. All three macros are important, but protein ranks high on the list. So why is it so important you ask? Well, it’s used in a variety of areas in the body. It builds and repairs tissues, helps make enzymes & hormones for our body, and is the building block for muscles, bone, skin, cartilage and your blood. While you may not be science-y, that’s okay. Just remember to add a good source of protein to your plate at every meal. Diversify your proteins with fish, poultry, beef, and even plant protein. This will keep you from getting bored. What’s your go to protein that you keep in the house? We’re always stocked on chicken, turkey, and salmon! And sometimes steak for low carb days. 😉
