Earlier last year I designed this garden, softening the boundaries and keeping a large area of lawn for the family. Soft, organic shapes were favoured and a cool Scandi style inspired the corten steel that has been used throughout the garden, from edging the lawn to retaining the various borders and changes in level. Screen with Envy corten steel screens have been used as features on one side of the garden. The planting spaces in between the screens will have Fargesia Robusta bamboo, giving soft, effective screening. Porcelain pavers were used to extend the patio area and throughout the garden. The garden was built by Concept Landscaping and lighting done by Farrell Electrical, both of whom have done a fabulous job. #lempsinkgardendesign, #conceptlandscaping, #farrellelectrical #Scandicool,#screenwithenvy,#cortensteel, #porcelainpaving

This was a front garden in Fife I designed and planted about 3 years ago now. The clients have an architect designed 1950s detached villa with a big front garden. They wanted a very low maintenance garden that would look lovely all year round. I used only ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs in my planting design which has kept the maintenance low. These photos show you how it has all come together. Dave Dunn of Concept Landscaping did all the hard landscaping beautifully as always.

I'm always delighted when clients send me updated photos of their gardens. I designed this front garden in Fife back in 2017 and Dave Dunn of Concept Landscaping built it for me. The brief was very low maintence and and something that would fit in with the style of their beautiful and unique house. Three years on the garden is looking well established being made up entirely of ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs.

This was a lovely opportunity for me to design a very contemporary garden including a rill and pond as a bespoke water feature, something I have been wanting to do for some time. The rill runs around the whole seating area with the planting behind it. Beautiful porcelain pavers were used in two different colours with 3 large lollipop trees, Prunus lusitanica. Beautiful lighting including stone globes complete the look. Many thanks to Dave and his men at Concept Landscaping and Danny Farrell of Farrell Electrical for doing a brilliant job!

This was a lovely garden that was built and planted about 3 years ago now for clients who had just moved into a beautiful detached Georgian villa in Portobello. I went back this summer to see how it has come on and was delighted to find they had kept it in immaculate order. The build was done by Concept Landscaping using Globalstone sandstone paving, setts and walling and used lovely reclaimed sleepers for the raised beds that looked perfect with the age of the house.

Last planting of the year all set out and ready to go. Garden built for me by Concept Landscaping with lovely white rendered raised beds, Millboard bench seat, buff brown Globalstone sandstone pavers and artificial lawn. Can't wait to see this garden fill out and properly become and extra room to this lovely house.

I did a planting design 3 years ago now for a lovely couple just outside Linlithgow. Their garden was 'all to the front' of the house with a lovely sunny aspect and rural location. The borders are a mixture of hot and cold colours and all are wildlife friendly. Three years on the garden is looking very established with a wide variety of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses, fruit trees and Rowans getting along very well together.
