We had a blast together last night! Call me nerdy, but we went to a middle school band concert in our neighborhood! I told my kids that I just might cry...I have so much emotion when I remember my experiences with band, how much it taught me/stretched me/refined me! They loved every minute of it, and Eliza asked questions loudly at every silent moment after the clapping stopped. It was quite hilarious! I can only imagine what I’ll feel to watch my kiddos up there!!
Happy first day of Advent! I asked for ideas on what sort of resource to go through with my children, and I decided to go with Truth in the Tinsel. I’m excited about it! There is an ornament craft and short lesson with scripture each day. I prepped some of the materials and put them in these envelopes so they will open an envelope each day to begin our project. It took more planning than I would spend on something, but with how much my children are into crafts, I’m excited for how much they will enjoy opening these each day to see what the daily craft will be!
On my photography page: I’ve been LOVING these simple family sessions so much! The simplicity and focus on the connections of relationships makes my heart soar! Check out more over at @allisonwollen
I love the warmth of our home so much when it’s all decked out for Christmas! My favorites are these wooden houses from Michael’s (so not Christmas decor - they’re from the wooden crafts section!) and fresh greenery wreaths from Trader Joe’s!
Well, we totally didn’t think about how the trees would be covered in layers of heavy snow 😂 oh well! We now have a tree! I love that Abe was the one who was most excited about it! ❤️
We love snow days!
