The #pomegranate tree can live for over 200 years in the right conditions, but most #fruit production will happen during the first 15 years of the plant’s lifespan.
Cool down with this frozen desert made with Blue Skies Pomegranate seeds. ------------------------------------------------ *Ingredients* 400 ml pomegranate juice 2 tablespoons caster sugar 125ml pouring cream 1/4 tsp finely grated orange rind 1pack of Blue Skies pomegranate seeds Fresh mint leaves, to serve *Method* 1. Combine the pomegranate juice and sugar in a large saucepan over low heat. 2. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. 3. Bring to the boil. Then simmer for 3 minutes to develop the flavours. 4. Set aside for 20 minutes to cool completely. 5. Pour the pomegranate mixture into a 24 x 15cm (1.5L-capacity) shallow metal cake pan. 6. Cover with foil and place in the freezer for 1 hour or until icy around the edges. 7. After 1 hour, use a fork to roughly break up the mixture. Cover and place in the freezer for a further 3 hours, using a fork to break the mixture into coarse crystals every 1 hour, or until firm. 8. Use an electric beater to beat the cream and orange rind in a small bowl until soft peaks form. 9. Remove the pomegranate mixture from the freezer. Use a fork to scrape the mixture out and divide among chilled serving glasses. 10. Top with the orange cream, pomegranate seeds and mint #recipe #fruit #pomegranate

This layered melon chia pudding is packed full of goodness! --------------------------------------------------- *Ingredients* ¼ Chia seeds 1 cup coconut milk Vanilla extract Melon Granola *Method* 1. Mix the chia seeds with coconut milk, two drops of vanilla extract and place in refrigerator for 5 mins – stir again to remove any clumps. 2. Place mixture back in the fridge and leave overnight. 3. In a long serving glass layer granola, fresh Blue Skies' Melon Chunks, and chia mixture. 4. Take a beautiful picture and enjoy! #melon #granola #dessert #chia
