This year has been filled with huge victories, massive failures, priceless learning lessons, and exciting professional growth as we opened/closed just north of $2.3MM in business a month; totaling over $28,500,000 in real estate transactions in 2018. Not quite what we had set out to accomplish at the start of this year, but @bencrosby24 and I got outside of our comfort zone, helped a decent amount of families, and laid the foundation for an aggressive and exciting 2019 at @compass. As always, we are forever grateful for our family, friends, clients, and alliance partners for their steadfast support. Cheers!
Wishing all of our family and friends a beautiful holiday. Cheers to a great 2019!
NEW SALES RECORD! An agent in Orange County reached out to collaborate on a challenging opportunity in Mission Viejo and our team couldn’t have been more ready for the task! Bacalar street is stunning. A custom builders passion project and his family’s forever home. But, when a new opportunity presented itself and they needed to move out of the state, the $100,000 in meticulous upgrades throughout the home all of a sudden became a concern- relative to the comparable properties in the neighborhood. The highest sale in the community was $830,000, and none of the local agents made the sellers feel comfortable that a $900,000+ sales price was attainable. With a 10 Point Plan to Extract Top Dollar in place, we secured the listing, planned the targeted marketing campaigns, hired a design consultant and went to work. After hours of strategy sessions, hundreds of showings, wining and dining perspective buyers, educating agents, even selling furniture, we are happy to share that the property closed for $915,000. No gimmicks just a collaborative effort of people doing what they’re good at! Big thanks to @lauren_friedman_designs @film360.co @sterlingphoto1 for your role in this record! 🙌🏻
JUST SIGNED! I’m excited to share that I have made what I consider to be a massive life changing decision. After strong consideration of the opportunities in front of me, it quickly became apparent that joining @compass and moving our office to La Jolla was a no brainer for myself, the team, and our clients. It was a challenge for me to shift my loyalty away from the handful of amazing people at @bhhscaliforniaproperties who genuinely empowered me to participate in over $60,000,000 in sales over in my first 4 years in real estate. If it weren’t for @samguillen2, Brent Consedine and @trentslatton answering hundreds of my calls over the last few years, I never would have been in a position to test free agency. I am a better human and business man because of you three 3 gentleman. 🙏🏻 Some of you may not be too familiar my new brokerage yet, but I’m confident you will hear and see the name a lot in the coming years. Compass, is a New York startup that has built a tech-first platform to take on the antiquated market of real estate. To double down on domestic growth, build out its tech, and to finally open up for business outside the US, the company has just raised another $400 million of funding. Jointly led by SoftBank’s Vision Fund and the Qatar Investment Authority, this Series F — likely to be the last before it goes public — now values Compass at a whopping $4.4 billion. The company cleared $34 billion in sales in 2018 ($14.8 billion in 2017) and is on track to make $1 billion in revenues. It already claims to be the biggest independent brokerage in California. Ultimately, this decision was made with the firm belief that joining Compass is a huge value add to me, and my business. I’m stoked to be a part of a company with a focus on people and culture. Last but not least, an enormous thank you to my family and close friends for their steadfast love and support in my real estate journey. Cheers to an amazing 2019 and beyond!
And suddenly you know... it’s time to start something fresh and trust the magic of new beginnings...
TOP 25 | Jan - Sept 2018 | The real estate industry is an ever changing business filled with many misconceptions about what the job of an agent truly entails. In my four years, I’ve found the position attracts a plethora of personalities and backgrounds: Wall Street bankers, record setting salesman, under estimated bartenders, retired athletes; many of the best influencers, sales people and marketing minds enter this world of high dollar sales. There wasn’t a single course or licensing exam that prepared me for the level of competition I was entering when joining the business. It seems as if real estate agents are as common and easily accessible as Uber drivers. And just like lawyers, doctors, or ride share drivers, not all real estate agents are created equal. The job is a grind and many are not prepared for it. But what amazes me most, is the ones who are. That produce consistent and extraordinary results years after year. The production results for the first 3 quarters of the year, and I’m beyond proud that @bencrosby24 and I have remained in the top 25 in both production and transactions throughout the year, but so have all of the names above us. Many of which, have been consistent top producers in this business for 10-20+ years. This post is a shout out to all of those who have paved the way for the next generation of realtor, yet continue to remain at the top of their game. It’s a true inspiration!

Day dreaming about the beautiful course with my beautiful fiancée. We may have even stopped in the middle of our game to have a picnic on a tee box (Pic 5) 😻⛳️
