Benefits of being an Australian band. Exhibit A. Time-off spent at beaches that look like this. I rest my case.
FINAL WOODFORD DAYS. What a wild ride that was. An incredible week to end an incredible year. Every moment was so inspiring. Every person was so kind. Every show was above and beyond our expectations. Thank you for giving us an amazing Woodford experience, friends. We’ll never forget it. Taking a few weeks off to rest and re-energized. It’s been a big year. We’ll see you again at our first show back at Brunswick Heads, January 20. As always, big love. 📸: @woodfordfolkfestival
Happy New Year! 2018 was our craziest, busiest year yet. Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, televised performance at Riverstage’s Lord Mayor’s Christmas Show, endorsement with Cole Clark Guitars, wrote & produced a full-length album, played so many venues and festivals including Woodford Folk Festival.. and you were the highlight, friends. Thank you for listening to our music, thank you for caring about us, thank you for coming out to shows, thank you for liking and commenting your beautiful support, thank you dancing and cheering, thank you for your kind words and letters and gifts. It’s been a wild ride. Who knows what 2019 will bring. Let’s find out together. Big love.
WOODFORD DAY TWO. Wow. What a wild one that was. Still on a high. After a wonderful 1.40am set at the Luna Stage, we made it back to our tent and grabbed a couple hours of sleep before heading off to the Halcyon Stage for a midday show. And it was a dream. The venue was jam packed and spilling out the sides and we could not have been more wildly happy about it. 120% capacity and everyone backstage was freaking out about it. A true rock’n’roll show. Can’t thank you all enough. That was a special one. We’ll never forget it. Final stops, Bill’s Bar Monday night at 9.10pm and Tuesday night at 9.40pm. See you all soon. Big love. 📸: @mikemeadepics @woodfordfolkfestival

THE BEST NIGHT. Last night we played the Lord Mayor's Christmas Show at Riverstage. Magical. Big love and thanks to the amazing drummers who made this Little Drummer Boy dream a reality. Everything was completely live. So much hard work went into it. It's not every day you're backed by @johnforemanofficial incredible orchestra, a stunning choir and the best damn percussion group a band could ask for. One for the books. Very thankful. You can watch the full video on our Facebook or YouTube Channel. Merry Christmas, friends. Big love.
Still reminiscing about the amazing Album Release Show on Sunday. Can’t thank u all enough for being there. What a day. This Saturday night we’re lucky enough to be featured at the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Show at Riverstage. Crazy. Full-band set for the pre-show at 4.30 and two songs in the actual televised event on Channel Nine at 7. Spoiler alert: we’ll be backed by a choir, a percussion group and John Foreman’s amazing orchestra. Zero chill. Hoping you’ll be there cheering us on, folks. They close the gates at 10,000 and it always fills up long before the show starts, so be sure to get there nice and early if you’re coming. V excited. Big love.
THE BEST DAY. Big love and thanks to everyone who braved the hot weather and celebrated our album release day with us. We feel like the luckiest band. A year and a half of hard work has led to this moment. Every lyric, every melody, every harmony, every instrumental was created by us. Now, this album’s yours. Out now on Spotify and iTunes. We can’t wait to hear all about the moments it soundtracks your life x

#ThrowbackThursday to our street performing days. Around this time, no one wanted to hire our little band. We had no bookings, we were being shelved by a dodgy management group, we had no financial ability to tour or record etc. and we were sonically lost and discouraged. It was a really rough period of time and in some ways it would have been very easy to hang up our guitars and call it a day.. but we didn’t. Venues didn’t want to hire us, so we decided to create our own venue. We took to the city streets several times a week and belted it out with two acoustics. Truthfully, at first no one cared. We stood there nervously, feeling a little foolish most of the time. But we persisted. A few months into it, something shifted. Our voices started to strengthen and project. We started writing songs like Catching Fire and Oh Darlin’, and people began to stop. Crowds began to form. People started to dance and clap and sing and cheer loudly. Our music started connecting us with beautiful people and their stories. As the years went by and our name started to grow, venues and events began opening their doors. We started to really grasp what felt and sounded honest and true to us. It’s been a huge journey from these photographs to where we are now. These years weren’t easy. There were a lot of days we wanted to throw in the towel. But we didn’t. And neither should you. I hope this post reminds you that this moment right now is just a foothold to something better. Everyone’s path is different. Don’t give up just yet. The people in these shots didn’t know that amazing opportunities like the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony and Riverstage and headlining festivals and releasing albums etc. were just around the corner. You never know where the road you’re walking will take you, so don’t you dare stop walking. This post felt appropriate to put out there before tomorrow night’s announcement. The next two months are going to be amazing, and I know without a doubt that the little barefooted buskers you see here would have been STOKED if they knew where they were headed. This band still has a long ways to go, but we’ve really learnt how to just enjoy the ride. Big love.
Our favourite Springsteen song. We love this one. Played this song for you a couple of years ago, but it’s since been tweaked (with the addition of Dan) so we thought we’d jam on it again this afternoon. Music heals.
Very excited to announce that we’re on the @woodfordfolkfestival line-up this year! So many incredible artists. We can’t wait. Putting together one hell of a set for you all. Big love to you Woodford! #woodfordff 📸: @frycandyphoto
So much enthusiastic singing and dancing! Big love and thanks to all our Brizzy friends for coming out to the @themilkfactorybar. What a blast and a half. Thank you. 📸: @mikemeadepics
