This morning as we were setting up a little stand to raise money for charity, a runner went by and fell, skinning her face and hands and had blood running down her face. While I was in the house, my daughter was out by the road and immediately ran to her giving her aid. She runs through the house yelling there's blood, I need paper towels and I follow too. A few hours later she comes back by and bring her these beautiful flowers, thanking Allie for all her help and told me how quick she was to react. As a mom, I love the thought my daughter is not only compassionate but a person who acts. This day in age it's easy to rely on others to rise up to action but I can't even describe how proud it makes me that she was the one who took that call to action.
We started our 9th anniversary on top of the Eiffel Tower at midnight. I can't wait to see what he pulls off next year...or if I can do one better... Let the games commence #loveiswar #anniversary #paris
Totally lied... Losing both front teeth has been the highlight! But some of the other highlights, we visited Fontainebleau, ate croque monieur and madame and creme brulee until midnight (we started at 8pm!) shopped our hearts out for the perfect French dresses and perfume, been mistaken for actual Parisians 🙌...only to disappoint them with our English and did one load of laundry at a laverie for about $18... It's been quite the experience
Our second day we walked over 15 miles and the only complaint Allie has was that after walking that much she needed more macaroons or ice cream... Take your pick. But we ate snails ✅ steak and frites ✅ and visited my absolute favorite store in Paris: La Maille (mustard shop)
Easily the highlight of her trip will be losing her tooth in front of the Eiffel Tower🤷 We've heard about it no less than 1.5 million times today... But in reality, it's her way of describing her living her best life and it's perfectly ok by me
