What those #LEDs from the previous post was for. We recently designed and fabricated an LED badge for #hwachonginstitution as part of a #soldering and #coding #makerfaire workshop. It made a really good platform to learn through-hole soldering and Arduino programming.
Testing resistor values for the new super sweet batch of rectangle #LEDs that just came in along with measuring total current consumption. Partly for achieving the right amount of brightness in this application, and also to check against technical specifications in Datasheet. #trustissues These are looking great at 330ohms.

Needed some M3 T-slot nuts for the 1515 series aluminium extrusions. These will be used for securing an acrylic top panel. Nothing heavy duty. Will be relying on the aluminium frame itself for the heavy duty support. Realised that the technical specifications for the 1515 series differ from each manufacturer, as compared to the more standardised 2020 series. These had to be measured and designed using the trusty #fusion360 and #3Dprinted for use with an M3 hex nut inlay with an offset of 0.15mm all around. *tolerance tested on dremel and flashforge printers in Singapore's current summer heat of 31°C 🔥
Throwback to the last day of semester 1 #robotics for the year 1s. We had a range of 11 to 13 year olds and while the first module is aimed to spark an interest in the subjects of #AI, #animatronics and #coding, we were blown away with what the students produced for the final grading task. The quality of work produced with digital servo motors and artwork added on by the students is pretty darn high for their age. We're hoping to provide a closer look into some of their work in later posts.
