I’m hard at work on a wardrobe guide for your spring family session (or heck, your engagement session or maternity session) and I can’t freaking wait to share it with you! It brings me back to the days of watching TLC’s “What Not To Wear” and I can just hear Clinton and Stacey’s voices in my head explaining why horizontal stripes can be bad and the importance of fit. Sigh. Why did that show ever go off the air?! ⠀ ⠀ PS: You can get your very own copy of the guide this Wednesday by signing up with the link in my bio!
Five years ago today, also Easter weekend, this guy asked me to be his wife in the most perfect-for-us proposal. Best yes I ever said 💕
Am I the only one who craves sugar all.the.time?! Unfortunately it’s just my life not pregnancy ... sigh! ⠀ ⠀ PS: Mini sessions coming in hot April 14. If you’re interested, you can get all the deets with the link in my bio 💃🏼
Alright my friends, it's official -- spring mini sessions are open for booking! Anniversary, maternity, families -- you're all welcome to join in your best spring outfits for some fun in front of the camera. Not sure what to wear? Well I've got a spring outfit guide coming your way next week!⠀ ⠀ In case you need help convincing the hubs, you can tell him it's a quick session (only 25 minutes!) and you get 10 downloadable hi-res images. It'll be painless and maybe, just maybe, a little fun. Contact me for more details! Link in bio.
It's been a day filled with editing and rain and deciding not to be a crazy pregnant person and paint our whole house *sigh* Since I can't have wine, I guess I'll just browse Pinterest and watch Gilmore Girls. Unless someone else has a better idea ... 🤷🏼♀️
It's always an honor to photograph fellow photographers but when it's your own wedding photographer ... !!! Anne rocked her head shots at @thebelmontstudio a few weeks ago and I gotta say, I love the more editorial take on head shots. Gone are the days of corporate suits in front of a blue backdrop -- at least in my book!
This is my first weekend off in a loooooong time and I hardly know what to do with myself. What I should *probably* do is rest but I'm thinking about painting the nursery and hunting down #allthethings to prepare for baby's arrival ... cuz it's coming quicker than I can handle! What fun plans do you have this weekend?!
I've got a special spot in my heart for mamas and their little boys now that we know that's what we're having. A friend asked me last week if I've been more drawn to babies since getting pregnant and while I've always liked kids, those little boys sure are melting my heart! Did anyone else experience this?!⠀ ⠀ PS: I'm sending out info on spring mini sessions next week (which I've never done before!) so if you want first dibs, join the party using the link in my bio. It's gonna be a good time!
I'm sure I don't have to tell you we live in a world of image overload and I know I’m not the only one who feels the weight of that. You’re sitting at your desk all day, browsing Pinterest and Instagram for wedding inspiration and simultaneously becoming beaten down by all the possibilities.⠀ ⠀ On the one hand, you want a beautiful wedding. Who doesn’t?! You can’t help but swoon over those darling details and gorgeous natural light portraits.⠀ ⠀ But at the same time, you know it’s just one day and what you’re left with after the cake is cut and the flowers have died is the memory of the day and the start of your marriage. Still, even a laid-back bride like you has a lot to do and a mean checklist to cross off. Wedding day details? Who’s got time for that?⠀ ⠀ Well, if you know anything about me, you know I also love a mean checklist and I’ve got just that for you on the blog today. Hop over to read why I think details are important and get your FREE wedding day details guide including a checklist to make sure you don’t forget a thing.
