I couldn’t love this little face any more, it’s just so delicious! 🤩 We’re getting a bit more settled into our days so I’m hoping to get some blog posts written up 👩🏼💻 One of which will be an update on our hypnobirthing course with @empoweredhypnobirthing and I’m also going to share my labour story because I love reading honest accounts of what it’s really like rather than what we see on tv. Anyway, happy Thursday! 🌈🌟
Things I love about mat leave: going out for lunch and eating as much cake as I want to 💁🏼♀️🍰 Things I hate about mat leave: being totally skint because mat pay sucks and daily cake is an expensive habit 💸💸💸
My little bear smiled! 😄😄😄 When you have a premature baby, some things are calculated from their “corrected” date rather than their birth date, like developmental milestones. Most babies start to smile around 6-8 weeks old. Sebastian is 12 weeks old and is only just smiling. But because he was 4 weeks early, he’s 8 weeks corrected. So he’s smiling right on schedule! 😍🤩 It can be hard adjusting to the timescales of a preemie but I have to remind myself he had a tough start and needed a bit more time to get ready to the world outside my belly. Now look at him go! 😝🙌🏼
It feels really autumnal in the North East today. I’m still in bed but all I can hear is the wind blowing around the house. Where did summer go?
Started little Sebastian at some baby classes this week. I love seeing him experience new things and learn about the world around him ❤️🧡💛💚💙 He loves them for the first half hour then seems a bit overwhelmed and just wants cuddles and feeding 🤗🤱🏼 I’m happy to oblige!
It 100% does not look like this today in the North East, but I’m clinging onto the last of the summer light nights before autumn officially lands 🌿🌞🌷🌳 Although I love my knitwear, I’m not looking forward to dark days and having the heating on all the time. Summer has gone too quickly!
