Jefferson State’s Speech and Debate Team traveled to Pensacola, Florida on November 1-3 and won 4th Place in Overall Team Sweepstakes at the University of West Florida Speech Tournament. Team Member Atiyah Muhammad won 6th in Extemporaneous Speaking and 4th in Impromptu Speaking. Rich Quarles won 3rd in Program Oral Interpretation and 6th in Impromptu Speaking. The team will finish the semester by competing at the Mississippi College Debate Tournament November 30 – December 1.
