Right now feels like such an important time to be with our children, teaching them about love and empathy, learning from them, feeling all the feelings, talking, listening, guiding them to be better than ourselves so that the future is brighter and even more full of love. Capturing small moments of love and caring during our family sessions is so important to us. From fiancé to bride to mama, we’ve been able to document this lovely woman during some pretty awesome life moments, like holding hands on the beach with her firstborn. Following her along the sunny shore with her husband and girls (new on the blog today! Link in profile) felt like the perfect time capsule of their lives right now. They ran, danced, dug in the sand, jumped off driftwood, snacked on cake pops and cuddled (oh the sweet cuddling!). Add a little wind for some hair and dress motion and we’ve had the perfect morning full of love! Thanks @dana.showers and @jshow007 ❤️ You all are so sweet together! #ciccarelliphotography #seattlefamilyphotographer #seattlenewbornphotographer #husbandandwifephotographers

We’re back! ❤️ We’re so excited to be scheduling elopements and intimate weddings, engagements, family, maternity and newborn sessions right now. Things may look a little different (we will be wearing masks and not hugging people like we normally love to!) and weddings may be a little smaller than usual, but we seriously can’t wait to document all the love and life changes that have happened in the past few months. There’s a lot of happiness happening and we can’t wait to be a part of it. ~Erik & Marissa 💕 #ciccarelliphotography #seattleweddingphotographer #seattlefamilyphotographer #seattleengagementphotographer #husbandandwifephotographers #seattlenewbornphotographer #seattlematernityphotographer

We’re here! What a month. This photo was taken over a month ago, before everything, when we escaped to the beach. We spent a blissfully unaware weekend with our family. Days were spent walking along the beach, crushing shells with our boots, carrying our tired kids through the forest, eating warm bakery scones, and feeling the sun...all memories we cherish more than we thought we would. To sum up the past month: it’s been a lot, for everyone. We’ve had a lot of people reach out to see how we’re doing, as a business, as a family. We simply, from the bottom of our hearts, say thank you. This post has been written in our minds hundreds of times (and in a million ways), but the energy and good spirits weren’t there to write. Our denial at the beach quickly escalated through the next stages of grief as we see-sawed back and forth between anger and depression. So many people are going through so much right now. Sometimes it feels like too much to bear. But today seemed like a good day to say hello, to say we’re still here, healthy, happy (at least today, seems like we’ve finally hit stage 5: acceptance, although we’ve had our fair share of dipping backwards), and we’ll continue doing what we love...capturing life’s moments for incredible people. We are full of gratitude to people who have supported us, reached out to commiserate and console, and for everyone who has supported small-businesses during this tough time. We will all get through this. Our daily mantra has been to find some good. We have been blown away by the human spirit, seeing neighbors helping neighbors, artists creating murals on the boarded up windows of closed shops, Bryce’s teacher chatting with him by video, to name just a few. Today’s goodness: the sun is shining, our kids have been happily playing outside, we are healthy, Erik (our house DJ) played some great records, we made waffles for breakfast, and the bright-red tulips in our yard are blooming. We know there will be more good things to come. Can’t wait to get back to sharing big life moments as restrictions ease (hopefully sooner than later). Stay happy, healthy and find the good if you can. 😘 Erik & Marissa

So much sweetness on the blog today! Always feel so lucky when we get to see couples again and again over the years. Since 2016 we’ve been documenting these two, now 4! From engaged to married, welcoming their firstborn to adding an adorable baby girl. Thank you @lomeless and @jbuchan10 for letting us be there for some incredible moments in your life! ♥️ Check out the blog for this super fun in home session!
