Sarah & her team are so incredibly talented, we’re so excited for this new addition to their business! Also, his gorgeous is our bride @sabrinamarie04 with HMU by @yessielibby dress by @laineemeg and at the gorgeous @lakewoldgardens
When I told Miranda & Melissa to say To each other “we’re getting married!” And this is their joyful reaction! I think it hit them that in ten months they’ll be married! We can’t wait to celebrate with them!
How is she ELEVEN months old today! 😢Happy Super Bowl Sunday from this little love bug! Avery is so full of personality! She eats anything you give her, will literally crawl to the pantry to try to get snacks, then bring them to us to give her! She loves her toys, dancing with her Daddy, when her brother sings and plays the guitar for her, and basically everything Mommy does ;) She wants to walk so bad and has already learned how to get her way! She has two bottom teeth and one top tooth and I’m curtain she’ll look buck toothed on her birthday! Time has just flown by and I can hardly handle the fact that I’m planning her 1st birthday already!
As photographers, we don’t really understand the gravity and importance of the photos we take until sometime after the wedding. It might be the day after the wedding, when the bride is oohing and ahhing over the sneak peak. It might be later when other vendors are sharing the images and we all reminisce on the gorgeous flowers, how amazing the sunshine was on a warm Summer day, how in love and happy the couple was, or it might be months or years after the wedding, when the photos bring back amazing memories of the sweetest couple, the sweetest grandparents, who are no longer with us. Maybe these are the last photographs of those you love the most. What I’m getting at, is that these moments? They matter. The anniversary dance where Ashlie’s Grandparents proudly danced as the DJ announced more and more years of marriage and they were still eagerly on the dance floor. I remember the incredible joy between these two at this wedding. I remember thinking how lucky Steven and I would be, dancing away at our own Granddaughter’s wedding someday. When I heard the news of Ashlie’s Grandma passing away I was struck by the gravity of this photo, and a whole series of them from the wedding. But then I became so grateful for the memories, and the ability to capture these special moment between them. Always remind yourselves how important the photos we are taking really are. You never know when they may end up being some of the last photos taken of the most joyful and in Love couples.
Totally LOVE these personalized clutches that Meg gifted her bridesmaids! Meg and Tim surrounded themselves on their wedding day with the most fun-loving, sincere and kind bridal party. I want to say that the largest bridal party we’ve photographed was 26 and the smallest was 2. Some have brides “men” and some grooms “women.” Some have even numbers and some way less than the other. And all these different options were all amazing! A bridal party can be whatever you want it to be, and that’s the beauty of it! Meg and Tim’s wedding is on the blog today! There are SO many things I could say about how beautiful Kate and Alfa’s day was with @weddingwise @studio3floral at @olympicrooftoppavilion but what really strikes me the most is how kind and easy going Kate was! She was soft spoken and her families, with speaking very little English, made Steven and I feel so appreciated and cared for. They thanked us all day for shooting their daughter’s wedding, with big smiles on their faces. Alfa and Kate are just the sweetest together, and in just two short months, Julia helped them plan such an intimate and elegant wedding! With all the rain we’ve had in the Pacific Northwest, I was so grateful that the rain stopped literally minutes before we arrived for the day! Kate you were such a stunning bride, but more importantly, such a stunning soul!
How are these little loves both on their way to quickly being ONE year olds? How did that even happen! Raise your hand if you blinked and flew thorough the milestones of your little ones 💁🏼♀️I’ve started planning Avery’s birthday. I ordered her dress and am planning out the cake smash and weekend of celebrating in March. I’m certain she’ll be a buck tooth by then too (just like her brother was) and I find myself wondering how all of life’s most precious moments go by so dang fast. I blinked and Maddux is this charming, lovable five year old who is already chomping at the bit to protect his sister for life. One of my favorite things about the “winter season” is that we really have time to slow down and enjoy these precious moments. Extra cuddles. Extra games. Extra movies. Extra adventures. And what feels like extra time. Don’t forget to slow down. We all strive to proudly say we’re “busy” but what we really need is to have more time. Savor it!
I’ve had my Christmas decor down for a few weeks but I couldn’t bare to take down the pine and eucalyptus holiday garland until today! This little entry table use to be turquoise but I’m slowly moving out of that phase and so paint it needed! Thanks to my sweet friend @momentsofgracephotos for all the paint motivation! I’m really excited for the fresh look it has now!
Ahhh @treehousepoint gets me everytime! Brides, if you’re still looking for 2018 wedding dates, #treehousepoint has opened up their Summer dates! Don’t wait! So excited for all our sweet couples and beautiful wedding happening here in 2018!
