I opened my second to last pair of @saucony zealots and took them for a treadmill 5k before the storm rolls in! I stocked up on these shoes when I realized the updates to the second version didn't work for me 😢 So I mark each pair with a sharpie on the back to keep each pair straight!!! 🌺 spring 2017
Mile done! I skipped yesterday because my puppy running buddy was sick 😢 But she's feeling better now, so hopefully will join me for some snow running tomorrow!

Mile a day, crushed!!! 🏃🏼♀️✅ I kinda who I had been able to keep running for another few miles. I don't know what's happening, but faster miles are starting to feel effortless again!!! Thank goodness!!!
It's so much easier for me to get my mile out of the way in the morning! Today I ran 0.2 intervals and walked .05 - four time and there's a mile!
Whew! It was so cold this morning! I was originally planning to run with another friend and descend from 9:20 to 8:40, but when she couldn't make it, I decided to stick with @laurennmcmillen for the first 5 miles, then try to descend from 9:20 to 8:40... when I hit 8:50 for mile 6, I knew I could do it. I went purely on perceived exertion to finish my last two mile this strongly!! I'm still so far behind where I was before the accident last year, but I feel like its at least possible to get there again!! #negativesplit #showyourpr #restontenmiler

I promise Penny enjoyed the run this morning, despite the look on her face! It was hella windy by the lakes, but all in all a great post-practice, pre-work run! 🐕🏃🏼♀️ It's strange getting used to my new normal, but I feel lucky to have this hour with Penny a few mornings a week to run, go to Starbucks, and walk home. It helps to fill me up with endorphins from running, but also there's no greater joy than seeing your fluffy best friend so happy!!! #puprun #irunthisbody #morningmiles
I joined my friend's mile a day group this month and I'm determined to rock it! I'm not going to get caught up in running all the miles, just sticking to my training plan and running one mile every day on off days.

Meal prepping is the ONLY way to survive the whole30 and to not slip back into your old ways! For me, it's so easy to stick to the program, but it's the 'after' that I struggle with! Non-compliant dressings, eating out, the temptation or candy... it's all still so hard and such a slippery slope for me!! But now I've got dinner and lunch... progress/perfection!

This weekend I learned just how easily I could fall back into my old eating habits!! Win: I only had 4 tacos at bartaco... usually I have like 9!! Fail: I ate out THREE times over two days. Not only were my meals not the best options (but they were delicious!), I really like how much I've saved while doing whole30!! For lunch today: leftover cracklin chicken, butter lettuce salad with tomatoes and a whole avocado!
This meal has two non-whole30 items: wine and cheese on the broccoli. Cracklin' chicken has become a favorite here! After a weekend of indulgence, it's back to more than mostly whole30 this week!!

This chorizo has a bit of sugar in it, but the rest of this meal is compliant! Back to whole30 meals until lunch tomorrow when I test out corn (gluten free grains). I'm dedicated to making this my lifestyle and making non-compliant foods rare, instead of the norm they were before!
Guys!! I had cheese!!! I'm so excited!!! It tasted soooo good, but I'm worried my belly isn't going to be super happy with me... I also eased up and had some honey mustard dressing on my salad (not compliant due to: canola oil and honey). Day 27, repeat after me, those are not chips or fries, they are crisp and soft potato circles! 😂 Last year I made potatoes like this WAY too often and it crossed into SWYPO. This round, I reserve them for post run meals. Just today and THREE more days!! Who wants to go to bartaco on Thursday!!?? Hahaha!!! Ps- chopped guac is the best! It's more like a salad and it makes you miss chips a little less. (But just a little 😉)
