We loved partnering with @clarishealth and @pathpartners to completely stock the new pantries of 120 formerly homeless individuals moving into their new apartments!!! This was our biggest donation yet as over 500 cases of food were delivered. Thank you to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for this generous donation. 🤗🤗 We are so humbled and honored to be able to still bring hope to so many, even in the middle of covid. Because of our determination to work together and bring unlikely partners to the table, GoBe’s dream of connecting churches to the tangible needs of our city is being realized in such practical ways. WOW.
In the midst of one of history’s greatest tragedies, I am proud that GoBe is still up and running to help our homeless neighbors receiving housing! For the 15 people that are moving off the street this week this home couldn’t come at a better time. “Safer at home” last week was a dream and today becomes their story. GoBe is proud to be stocking up their kitchens to overflowing, even while there are lines around the block to get in to grocery stores. We are proud to be love in the midst of such pain and suffering. Today, we loaded and delivered thousands of dollars of groceries - but the most important thing we delivered, was HOPE. ❤️❤️💜💜
A HUGE thank you to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who stepped up to help our formerly homeless neighbors in a massive way. They provided 180 Welcome Home Kits to the LAPD Hope teams along with an incredibly generous donation of $30,000!! Days like this are what keep our city the very best. Thank you!!! If your church would like to help our Hope teams and put together Welcome Home Kits, please email email@example.com or DM us on Instagram!
Homelessness went up 12% this year. Churches, we have so much work to be done but don’t get discouraged - we ARE making a difference. This last year, 133 people PER DAY were moved into permanent housing!! The increase comes because 150 people per day became homeless. We can’t throw our hands up. We can’t look at this crisis as a sprint, but a marathon. Every single time you donated a Welcome Home Kit, you changed someone’s entire life. You gave them a second chance. Now is not the time to get frustrated and quit. It’s the time to press in and recruit the people around us to help! Let’s keep running together. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us RUN with PERSEVERANCE the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on JESUS, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you WILL NOT grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12 #dontquit

It was such a privilege to serve alongside the Counsil of Pakistan today at the downtown mission. They did a great job of organizing people to hand out donations of blankets, towels, beanies, and socks to everyone who came by to eat. Seeing some many people with huge hearts and big smiles was exactly what we needed gearing up for the end of 2018!!
Thank you @c3losangeles !!!! Today they are having more signups to stock pantries for our formerly homeless neighbors. If you want to join the efforts, email firstname.lastname@example.org. 🙌🏼🙌🏼 #c3losangeles #welcomehome
Without our partners - GoBe wouldn’t be possible. Thank you @ladreamcenter for sharing your parking lot!!! It looks like empty boxes, but if you keep staring you can see the changed lives just inside...
Our Mayor, Eric Garcetti, has rolled out a new initiative to build temporary immediate housing for our homeless on the street to live in while they await their future permanent homes. He has allotted 20 million dollars to see this happen! This initiative would use city property that is currently not being used well or at all to create these shelters in each of the council districts. The challenge is that as we all know well, people come out much more often for what they are 'against' verses what we are 'for'. Signing this petition creates concrete data that our communities do see the value and this and support it. Please, join GoBe and Eric Garcetti in seeing Bridge to Home come to reality. You can sign at http://tiny.cc/amoveforlife It takes less than 3 minutes to sign, but makes the world of difference to our city. THANK YOU! @realityla @oasisla @c3losangeles @prismchurchpasadena @pacificcrossroads @ladreamcenter @hillsong
