Celebrating spring! #equinoxblocks
This winter’s big project is COMPLETE! We’re ready to celebrate now with some time in the greenhouse (after we relax for a bit)!
Sampling spinach, surveying the snow and waiting for spring!
The girls are hard at work! Join our spring egg share, starting next week, and come grab a dozen Organic, pastured eggs every week. Send us a message for more information!
February thaw! A good time for baby greens, tree pruning, chicken observations, and remembering what mud season is like! #soileverydaykeepsthedoctoraway
Hanging out at the water cooler.
Thank you, Mary Oliver. - Teach the children. We don’t matter so much, but the children do. Show them daisies and the pale helatica. Teach them the taste of sassafras and wintergreen. The lives of the blue sailors, mallow, sunbursts, the moccasin-flowers. And the frisky ones – inkberry, lamb’s-quarters, blueberries. And the aromatic ones – rosemary, oregano. Give them peppermint to put in their pockets as they go to school. Give them the fields and the woods and the possibility of the world salvaged from the lords of profit. Stand them in the stream, head them upstream, rejoice as they learn to love this green space they live in, its sticks and leaves and then the silent, beautiful blossoms.
Come and stock up with us for your holiday meal and last minute gifts! We have dried organic herbs, all sorts of vegetables, meat and eggs, some very special @mainemilkhouse eggnog and a variety of Maine-made canned and speciality goods. All here in our farm store, open every day during daylight hours!
