Today I am choosing JOY! (This is going to be long😊) In today's world there seems to be a lot of negative talk and thinking. When standing in line at the store, at the park, waiting for your kids at school, so many places. Over the last few days I have noticed it more and more. I too am guilty of it. It never does any good. You don't feel better after being negative or angry. In some cases you feel worse. So I am choosing to see joy and give joy. What does choosing joy mean? Well to me it means to take responsibility for my happiness, choosing to be happy and live joyfully even when things are tough, letting go of perfection and seeing the beauty around me, and spreading the joy to others. Ultimately when you are joyful it tends to be contagious and those around are joyful too. This morning I woke up abruptly to the alarm because it is Monday and someone has to get the kids to school. I found myself again getting upset because no one was moving. It is a horrible feeling. And not a great way to start the day for myself or the kids. After a few deep breaths and a dab of stress away essential oil we were off for drop off. On the way to dropping off the kids, I decided that today needed to be about choosing joy. There is joy everywhere. Sometimes we just need to pay attention and choose to see it. So where have I seen joy today? Well, as Tristan got out of the car he told us all I love you before he left without prompting, Braydon was telling Rilynn how he hoped she had a great first field trip today, Rilynn was singing I love my preschool, yes I do with the occasional (Tristan, Braydon, and Sam in place of the preschool), then even though Rilynn had a rough start to her field trip she brushed it off and had the best time and was full of smiles! There are days where having 4 kids (or even just the 3 year old) is HARD and I feel like giving up or I am not strong enough. But I am going to try to continue to choose joy whether the day starts rough or not. Life is too short to not see the beauty in my family because of frustration. Today not only have I been choosing to see joy around me, I am choosing to give joy as well. Where have you seen joy today??
This weather has my heart skipping beats!! 💞 I have had our windows open all day, I can hear the wind blowing through the trees 🍂 , and my diffuser going with the most yummy smelling mix of pumpkin 🎃 spice (clove, nutmeg, cinnamon bark). 🍃🍂🍃 What is your favorite thing about fall?? 🍂🍃🍂 #bringonfall #pumpkinspice #pumpkinislife
