Started the day with some INCREDIBLE BBQ. Seriously I think some of the best I’ve had. I can’t believe what I’ve been missing! I’m going to dream about their Mexican style creamed corn. And ending the day at my favorite place!
Found this lovely piece of artwork paired with the equally lovely words from the artist; The storms of the world can be scary and the winds can push a weak person here or there but she stands strong and unafraid. She is illuminated by a light from above. You can not see the source but you can see the effect that it has on her - how it brightens her compared to her surroundings. She is hopeful, standing on a firm foundation and looks to the heavens. She is focused on her goal. Around her feet are beautiful things. She didn't go to this location because it was beautiful. She brings beauty where she goes (notice how the rock is barren and in shadow but becomes more alive as it gets closer to her). It's all about how one person can make a difference in the world. How being an example can light the world - how a little bit of beauty can bring happiness and hope to many. James H. Fullmer
Sunday drives are my favorite 🙌🏻
Per @meganayres94 recommendation I am trying out the curly girl method on my hair. Trying to embrace the curls and find the magic products to beat the humidity! If anyone has any recommendations let me know! . . . . . #curlygirlmethod #curlynaturalhair #cgmethod #cgm #curlygirltexas #curlycommunity #curlyhaircommunity

A few more pics from last weekend with dad in town. Exploring my favorite mission, San Jose, and enjoying the last weekend of Fiesta! Finally tracked down chicken on a stick and it was just as yummy as everyone said! 😋

Always a lovely afternoon in the Texas Hill Country!
Can we live in Austin please? 😂 This beautiful state park is only 15 minutes from downtown!
The best day! Next year we will definitely be in costume!
A few weeks ago we bought discounted tickets to the Sherwood Forest Faire east of Austin. We kept seeing ads for it and when we saw a good deal on tickets thanks to Costco, we decided to give it a chance. I had serious doubts about how it would compare to my much beloved and missed Renaissance Festival in Maryland. It was just shy of a two hour drive from us, but the further north we got the prettier the drive. So many trees, lush farms and wildflowers! Just as we arrived to the faire it starting POURING rain! Despite having umbrellas I was absolutely drenched! Luckily the rain passed and it wasn’t too muddy as we got to explore the faire. The faire grounds were so big and had so many big trees and so many cool buildings I honestly felt like I was back in Maryland! There were so many cool areas to explore, I was so impressed! It’s only going for one more weekend, having opened March 2nd, and ending April 21st, but we will definitely be going again next year! Posting lots more on Facebook (because I have like 40+ pics lol)
Texas heaven 🙌🏻 Even when the water is freezing I love this place so. much. 💙
Fun times exploring Austin! 🦇
