I know it looks hot and sunny but it’s definitely not summer season in Sintra. Only crazy person in shorts but who cares when you’re freezing to this view.
Aussie breakkie in Lisboa at The Mill. Corn fritters with smashed avocado, cheese, and eggs. The cafe was packed! Good food, less than stellar service but still worth putting up with. Wanted to check out Cafe Royale but we couldn’t wait till 11am for breakfast.. 😭
Birth. Rebirth. My favorite spot in Sintra. The ‘Initiation Wells’ or ‘Inverted Towers’ in Quinta da Regaleira. The palace is full of underground tunnels and hidden spots. It is adorned with symbolic carvings associated with Masonry, the Knights Templar, and the Rosicrucians. Definitely a must visit in Sintra!
@manteigariasilva, a traditional cheese and charcuterie shop in Lisbon Portugal. Had a slightly spicy St Jorge Cheese with the best quince marmalade I’ve eaten.
Getting acquainted with Vinho Verde. #vinhoverde #portugal
The one and only Pastéis de Nara @pasteisbelem. The original recipe is passed from the monks at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos. Super crunchy savory base and a egg custard that is firmer and less sweet than the other versions we’ve had so far (it’s made with milk instead of cream). The locals swear by this!
