We're Journey the Church and our mission is to love the world one person at a time! Partner with us this year to spread this message of hope and love to our community and our world. . The best thing is that love takes on many different forms. Love can be sitting by someone at church who's sitting alone. Love can be asking someone how they're doing and genuinely listening. Love can be donating time or money to a cause that you believe in. Love can be walking alongside someone through something they're struggling with. . We're asking for MORE people to push themselves out of their comfort zones and simply LOVE.
Our memory verse for the ACTIVATE Sunday sermon series.
💡STARTING THIS SUNDAY! 💡 Jesus said in John 10:10 that He has come to bring life and life to the fullest. Except if we're honest, many of us find ourselves unfulfilled, unsatisfied, and searching for some exclusive meaning in our lives. . This life that's supposed to be life to the fullest seems rather bleak and mundane. It's got us trapped in dreary lifeless routines. . Even though God has equipped us with unimaginable potential and talents, we remain stagnant, motionless, plateauing in our faith and in our lives. . The ACTIVATE sermon series is all about learning to live out our faith in new and bold ways. We will be stretched and challenged to activate our faith in ways that are radical and uncomfortable, but altogether world changing. 🌎
Tonight we're starting our new Wednesday night sermon series on the book of John! Join us at 6pm for dinner and 7pm for worship and a message! - Camarillo Community Center 1605 Burnley St. www.journeythechurch.org
The Mexico missions team is in Mexico right now passing out Christmas shoeboxes and scarves that were made by Journey people! They also unveiled a church sign, art work, and a brand new cross they made for the church there. The Mexico missions trip has been part of our church since before we started and it’s one of our most favorite times of the year!
‼️ Reminder: No Wednesday night service tonight! ‼️
Merry Christmas from all of us at Journey the Church! Thank you for celebrating Jesus' birth with us this season. Go love the world one person at a time this Christmas Day!

Mary must've been so nervous. It's nerve-wracking enough to give birth to your first child under normal circumstances, but knowing that you're giving birth to Jesus? The Son of God? The Savior of the world? The way, the truth and the life? . A song comes to mind: Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation? Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb? This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am. . What an experience. Little did Mary know that giving birth to this baby boy Jesus, would change the entire world.
Imagine what it was like for those shepherds to have heard the news of Jesus' birth from an angel! News that was so good that they immediately packed up their things and hurried to Bethlehem to see for themselves. They must have been overcome with joy and excitement! . What did they do after seeing baby Jesus for themselves? They went out, glorifying and praising God for this amazing and life changing miracle that they had witnessed. . Sometimes we need to be more like those shepherds. Going out into the world without fear and sharing the things that God has done in our lives. Like the shepherds spread the word about Jesus' birth, we can spread the word about what we've experienced as a result of His birth.
We won't be live-streaming our service tonight. Why? We're having a church-wide Christmas party!
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6
After our usual 9am/11am services we will be having our Christmas Eve service with a Christmas message and worship at 5pm! 🎄 We would love to have you join us at Journey The Church to celebrate Jesus' birth and all that Christmas represents! . December 24th at 5PM Camarillo Community Center 1605 Burnley St. www.journeythechurch.org
