A little house-building update: After much deliberation, we’ve decided to continue remodeling our #harvestlanehome for now! 🏡 Although the models we saw were beautiful, there’s something so peaceful about living small — or trying to live small. 🌿 This year, my hope is to donate a whole lot, to love the present rather than always looking toward the future, and of course, to keep traveling for fun!
Tomorrow, Ben and I will be meeting with builders to talk about — hopefully — building a house! 🏡 I’m dreaming of an open-concept farmhouse with vaulted ceilings, and Ben’s only request was windows. “Lots and lots of windows.” 😜
Always stop and smell the roses... or in this case, stop and look up at the ceiling, because it’s so pretty! 😍 Grateful for a final day of winter break with @emilyzugay 👭
Some days, you’re on a roll - and other days, your optometrist extracts two pieces of a contact lens that’s been stuck in your eye for 5 days. 👀🙈
A couple of weekends ago, we threw a vegan Friendsgiving! It was so much fun to create a menu, to prepare new recipes all day long, and to celebrate with friends and family. . I learned tofurkey is not my favorite, but I also learned to make a mean pumpkin pie! I’m hoping to gather up all the recipes we used, for those who might want to try a vegan Friendsgiving of their own... or are just curious about how vegans tackle Thanksgiving! 🦃 #harvestlanehome
Eau Claire, Elkhorn, Delavan, Lake Geneva, Waukesha... and home again! 😴 It was a fun AND filling weekend - and now, I’m so glad to be under a cozy blanket, by our Christmas tree! 🎄
