It’s time for me to take a short social media break. @documentaryfamilyphotogs has organised a photographers retreat in Dublin and I could not NOT go to it. There are going to be a lot of chats, some meals, more chats and walks around the city for photography assignments. I happen to know quite a few of the photographers present, and it’s going to be fun! I’m not sure whether I’ll come back rested or exhausted?! See you next week! Photo of myself by @greta_do_photo
Let’s go on an adventure…
Bubbles & sisters. And the Swiss flag.
The sand ceremony is such an amazing way to include children in a wedding. As the sand can never being separated again it is a great symbolic of all four personalities combined to become one inseparable entity: family. These two little ones were very much at the centre of this couple’s wedding day and the main reason they chose to hire me for it, was my family photography. They knew they didn’t want to go through posed photographs with an active two-year-old and the stress it would bring to them. #johannakingphotography #dfpcommunity #dfp_weddings #dublinfamilyphotographer #elopmentireland #documentaryweddingphotography #thekclub @thekclubireland #ippva #docday #irishwedding #reportageweddingphotographer
Awww. One from June I had totally forgotten about. The B&W has a timeless feel to it, but it feels like her hair “shines” more in colour. What do you think?
Winter is not my favourite season, but I have to say it makes for a nice sunset light all. day. long. I’m curious actually, who out here loves winter enough to schedule a family photo session in January? This family had a baby on the way, which means they didn’t really get to pick :)
The famous tickle monster…
Proud proud proud little girl “helping”. . Horses. I love putting my nose in their neck and breath. And the leather. Brings me right back to the present AND to happy memories of summer camps away as a child.
During a session I often get attached to the little ones. Anouk definitely stole my heart during this full day-in-the-life (and more) in Switzerland this summer. 💖 I’ve heard she graduated herself to “big girl” already and that her mammy’s heart is breaking a little.
