Story of my life, am I right? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the newsletter last week I shared a recent @womenatforbes article I wrote. It was a story from a woman who struggled with the balance between money and a job she loved. That article was the most loved, clicked, read, and shared article of the week. Clearly this is a constant struggle for most of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want articles like this delivered straight to your inbox? Sign up for the money newsletter that you actually want to read (link in bio). Every Friday you'll get a roundup of some of the best money reads on the internet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photo by Guilherme Stecanella on Unsplash #money #financialfreedom #theworthproject #goalgetter #personalfinance #financialeducation #personalfinanceforwomen
Today I was really frustrated with a to do list that wasn't getting done and a fussy baby that wouldn't nap. I decided to take Henry out for a walk because I just couldn't de-stress. As we were walking I saw a hat bobbing above the long grass off the path. When we got closer I saw that it was an elderly man who had fallen and was waving his hat to try and get my help. He was just laying in the hot sun unable to get up. It took 1.5 hours, a lot of kind helping hands, and a wheelbarrow to get him back home and en route to the doctor. We chatted the whole way about his life (he's 95!), his wife, and how much he loves his daily walks. My to do list is still there, Henry still won't nap, but somehow everything I was supposed to do and everything that was stressing me out doesn't seem to matter anymore.
