Another day in the city, another successful subway ride, another awe-inspiring museum, another interesting uber driver, and another exhausted me. My feet ache like never before but my heart is so full and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Aint nothing bad about it
Passed by a dude just outside of Central Park writing free poetry about strangers on his typewriter. It made me happy that there's people out in the world doing what they love. Here's hoping you're one of em' ✨
The worst door lock in history continues to terrorize us, but on the bright side, we found out that our apartment's rooftop is accessible
Swapped this skyline view for the quintessential New York City sights. Got flagged for random screening and got the pat down, and I had to go in the full body scanner akin to a spaceship. Classic Kimberly kind of luck. Nonetheless, we got to our Airbnb in one piece (after having climbed 4 flights of stairs with all our luggage and fighting the worst door lock in the history of mankind for a solid 45 mins). Besides all of that, I am here. I am here. I am here. I can't stop grinning even though today pretty much whooped my arse. Nice to meet you, NYC. Can't wait to get to know you better🗽
The one on the right turned 20 today (the one on the left has a cool home and a cooler personality, but more on that some other time) | Welcome to your 20s, Cec! Thanks for sitting in a parking lot in the dark for over 2.5 hours with me the night before your birthday. It's hard to believe that I won't be seeing you til Christmas but I hope you know that you're always in my heart and that Toronto's lucky to have you. It's crazy how happy I get when I hear about good things happening to you. Here's to your hella inspiring glo-up, but more importantly, here's to your strength and resilience in the face of all you've been through! Love you always in all ways!
My social life has never been this busy. I am exhausted, I am lacking in sleep, but man am I grateful
