Imagine walking in these halls everyday | ♥︎ |
Almost done with what has officially been the worst week ever. I finally got a doctors appointment on Tuesday due to infections in my wrist, a couple of my fingers, a toe and in one of my hips (I got rheumatism). Wednesday my son wake up and wasn't able to walk on his right leg so I had to take him to the emergency room. He's got a known condition though but we needed to confirm it and get him some treatment. We were there all day and when we were finally released we had a 30 minute drive home in the middle of rush our in front of us with only 60 minutes until the kindergarten closed, then our car broke down. Thursday my two year old daughter woke up and wasn't feeling well. She complained about her tummy and she looked really tired. I picked her up and carried her into the bathroom and placed her on a stool. After a little while she begun to sweat, her skin was cold, she started shaking and then she began to fade away. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my entire life and after laying her down on the floor I called an ambulance. The woman told me to do different things to her, basically hurt her, because it was crucial to keep her awake until the ambulance arrived. So i was told to keep pinching her hard on the inside of her legs. My six year old son, poor boy, was sitting alone in the couch all the time and closed his ears with his hands because he was scared and didn't want to hear how I was trying to get his sister to hear me. We were rushed to the hospital where they found out that her blood sugar levels were incredible low due to a combination of a virus infection and the fact that I just stopped breastfeeding her because she got blisters inside her mouth due to the virus infection. After a new day at the hospital we were cleared and got to go home, although we need to keep testing her blood sugar levels throughout the next couple of weeks. This just happened to occur a week I was alone with them both and my hubby was far away due to work. He barely managed to get home because someone stole his keys and passport the day before they were set to go home. Definitely not a week neither of us will remember fondly!!
