Emma, making tortillas in Mexico. This girl had such a great time in Oaxaca this summer that she’s decided to spend what would have been her senior year abroad. She had two credits that she needed to complete next year, but with a couple of changes to her schedule, we were able to ensure that’d she’d have everything for graduation when she finishes her junior year in May. We looked at a lot of options, but she decided that she’s going to spend the fall teaching English in Costa Rica and the spring in Europe taking Spanish classes in Spain before traveling around on her own. So proud of her for charting her own path and excited to see where her gap year takes her. I guess this is what happens when you grow up traveling the world.

Sometimes I feel that famous buildings don’t live up to their hype, but the Petronas Towers are as impressive up close as they are from afar.
