#Repost from @jax_mrow. The Dolphins win the Men’s Team Points at the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association! Last time that trophy was in the NRC was in 2014. After a long day of great racing in Sarasota, our eyes are set on Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association.
Glass blowing artist @garmezyglass recently stopped by JU to work with students on a piece that consisted of over 30 different parts.
#Repost from @native.fresh One of our interns, Peter, recently gave an incredible research presentation at @Jacksonvilleu’s symposium which discussed an experiment he conducted at our #aquaponics greenhouse. His experiment tested the effectiveness of different substrates, seeing how they impacted bacteria cultivation within the biofiltration system of an aquaponics farm.
Happy Birthday to Jacksonville University! On April 16, 1934, JU was chartered. We celebrated our Charter Day last Friday. The JU community volunteered at 34 organizations throughout Arlington and Northeast Florida. More than 1,069 volunteers participated, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, supporters, and 15 JU athletic teams for a total of more than 3,000 volunteer hours. The dolphin family also raised $631,851 from 2,876 donors during Big Green Give that day. Thank you to everyone who was part of this historic day!
JU alum Jackie Gonsalez, Vice President of apparel and retail supply chain at @crowleymaritime, was recently featured in JU's own Wave Magazine, discussing her successful career and being a woman in a high ranking position.
