The air is crisp and I've pulled out all of my cozy sweaters. I've come to terms with end of tomato season and am ready to fully embrace Fall. Going to make a loaf of my spiced pumpkin loaf with cream cheese frosting to celebrate!
Stopped by the farmers market this morning and bought 1/2 dozen cobs of sweet corn. Probably the last fresh corn of the season. Going to eat a few cobs and use the rest to make my corn chowder. If you're interested in the recipe, it's in the blog archives. It's probably one of my most popular recipes!
Hot damn. The sexiest soft serve I've ever seen.
My baby boy turned 3! At his request, I made him a dinosaur cake for his party. Three layers of chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream frosting and layer of chocolate ganache on top. Topped with some adorable dinosaurs wearing party hats to match the kids. I don't know who had more fun, Sebastian eating the cake, or me making it. Recipe is up on the blog.
September is a big month for birthdays at our house. To kick off the celebrations, I made these chocolate cupcakes with a salted caramel frosting for Brent's birthday. Recipe is up on the blog.
We have so many things in common, but our shared love of ice cream has got to be the best. Also, those sweet little hands 🥰
I have a new recipe on the blog for summery strawberry and peach salad with arugula, sliced almonds, and goat cheese. Link in profile.
I love this time of year. The juiciest tomatoes sliced thin, piled on top of fresh toasted sourdough, topped with flaked Maldon salt, basil from the garden, and olive oil. I am definitely a summer girl.
Pan fried halibut with brown butter, couscous, snap peas, and watercress. The prettiest and tastiest seasonal dinner courtesy of @tallulahseattle #latergram
Photos from our kitchen remodel are now up on the blog. This project was a labor of love. It took almost 16 months to complete, but I am so happy with how it's turned out. You can check out my most recent blog post for before and after photos!
