#dearfirstyearteacher You will spend many nights crying. It’s inevitable. Make sure to find and keep the person who builds you up through it all. They will be your biggest cheerleader and the reason you keep going. Next thing you know, it will be 8 years later and your confidence and abilities will grow. Trust your instincts. You know what you are doing so do not let the nay sayers get you down. Eventually, you will find the exact place you were meant to be, be with the right kind of people, the right campus, and you won’t be able to imagine doing anything outside of education. Trust me. The better days are just around the corner. You just have to survive this first year.
Thank you #txla2018. It’s been fun!
When you are 1 of 50 people to meet the author and receive a signed hardcover copy of a book that’s been sitting in your Amazon wishlist for a few months for FREE, you do a little happy dance in the middle of the exhibition hall. #txla2018 #librarianlife #nerd
My husband and I own way too many picture books given the fact that we don’t actually have children of our own. These bins from @target were exactly the size we needed for the longer books (i.e. Very Hungry Caterpillar) They bring a smile to my face every time I walk into our office and see the picture books organized so nice and pretty!
