I cannot wait to start reading this Book Fair purchase! “A living, speaking doll; magical and folkloric elements; and Nazi terror meld in this novel set in World War II Krakow, Poland.” -Kirkus Review
First Book Fair of the year is in the books!! This books was, by far, my favorite find. The quote at the end especially spoke to me. We broke our record of sales by more than $100!! After such an exhausting week, my chill weekend has been very much deserved.
Wonder is one of my favorite books. I can’t wait to see the movie next month!! To create your own Wonder character, go to create.wonder.movie
Conversations with first graders... 1stgrader *pointing towards peer*: She told me to stop scaring her. Me: Well, she may not want to be scared. 1stgrader: She doesn't?! Me: No. Not everyone likes to be scared. I don't like to be scared either. I don't even watch scary movies because I don't like to be scared. 1stgrader: So you don't like Jaws? Me: No. I don't like Jaws. 1stgrader: You're scared of man-eating great white sharks? Me: Yes. Yes, I am definitely afraid of man-eating great white sharks.
