5 years ago! Time is lying to me surely!! It’s my prayer that clients look back thankful for every penny they invested in timeless imagery. My goal is to document what it felt like to be there so that 5,10, or 50 years from now you can’t help but feel every emotion from that day! Happy Anniversary, @marymcsheets and @sheetsandgiggles !!!
I love when people are always looking out for their people 😍😂 No matter the business, there is a part of every small business owner that hits a season and fears that ‘this is the end’. Some people convenience themselves this is happening every month, others are only faced with the feeling in an ‘off’ quarter or low season, and others once a career. January feels like month that brings about a lot of this fear. Below is a note to couples and wedding vendors. 💗 Dear Wedding Vendors, this is not the end for your business. Every January we panic when our usually bust-it-out-girlboss schedule slows. Remember when you had a wedding every weekend in the fall and prayed for this time? It is here right now. Take it, breathe deep, & trust your work. Lean on your community. I promise they are more for you than against you. Trends are definitely changing but they are always changing. Panic leads to bad fits and more stress so breathe deep and focus on the right clients that will make for a beautiful, equally-beneficial relationship. 💗 Dear Newly Engaged Couples, picking a date, venue, pleasing all your family, making sure your friends wedding dates & siblings graduations don’t collide is stressful. You don’t need to panic. There is SO much talent in my city and your city and you have so many options to find the perfect vendors for you. I’ll give you 3 options. 1) panic when people say they have only XX amount of spots left in 2020 and throw a deposit at someone. 2) reach out to the vendors you are dying to have and see what they have open. I guarantee that they have more than X wedding dates open and you will have plenty of options. 3) take your time, talk to your family, then reach out to the vendors whose work you feel drawn towards. If they are booked, communicate what you loved about their work and ask who they recommend. 💗 I’m half booked for 2020 & have plenty of open spots for this summer/fall! I’m for cheering on vulnerability and honesty always. Don’t let the off season-panic win. You are valuable and your work is needed. Each wedding I get to be a part of is an honor and I can’t wait to document more love in 2020 & beyond ;) Tag a friend & cheer them on!!
What’s the best gift I can give my clients? Read the blog (link in bio) to find out. My 2019 recap letting Love Be is up and it’s definitely a labor of love 💗 I’m not quite ready for the new year but I am excited for more of this. More just married joy bombs. More last looks with teary eyes before walking down the isle. More cheers and dance moves and kids being kids. More love 💗 Thank you to every client that has invited and allowed me to do this job for the last eight years. It has been my honor.
10 years ago.... a decade ago @robertsturdivant and I had our first kiss. It’s crazy to believe he’s been walking through the last decade of life with me cheering on this biz and helping me build our life together. Happy 2020, friends!
They’re engaged!!! Being a sneaky part of proposals will forever be fun!!! Congrats @ghsalem22 and @mashleeyyy !!!
