We’re down to the last 44 days of the year, how crazy is that? Maybe not so crazy considering it looks a snow globe outside my window right now. . In case you’re trying to find any excuse to stay inside today, I thought I’d share of one my favorite podcasts at the moment, @letsrise.co. . If you’re looking for some serious motivation, @msrachelhollis is your girl! . For the past month I’ve been following along with the #last90days challenge and it has really helped in keeping up with my goals, creating new ones and staying on a consistent routine in all aspects of life. . Have you been following along to the last 90 days? If so, I’d love to connect with you and create a mini accountability group! 💃🏻
Today’s been off to a snowy start and I’m trying to avoid the outdoors as much as possible. I thought it might be a good day to take a mid day break and share a little bit about me. . I’m always up for adventures! Whether exploring Chicago, taking mini road trips to nearby cities and states or venturing to another country, I am always up for an adventure. We only have one life to live so you better believe I'm going to use it wisely, am I right? . My favorite days start with a good cup of coffee! On Sundays you can typically find me scoping out one of the cute coffee shops in Chicago. If you’ve been around here for awhile I’m sure you’re well aware of this! My drink of choice is definitely an iced latte, my latest obsession is oat milk and @heritagebicycles tops my list for both of those things! . I live for encouraging women! I took a huge leap of faith 7 years ago when I decided to become a business owner! It is the one thing that I am most proud of to this day. Whenever possible, I try to help other women realize the same is possible for them too! If I can do you, you can do it! . My favorite skyline is the Chicago skyline! (Obvi 🙃) A piece of the skyline can be seen from nearly every corner of Chicago. Yet, whenever I see it in its entirety I remember the exact moment I fell in love with this city. Every time I catch a glimpse of it, I’m reminded that I'm home.
What day is it? 🙈 I actually had to ask myself today. It’s been a busy week and it’s just getting started. 😅 How do I keep on top of weeks where I have to ask myself that question? ✍🏻 I write it all down on one notepad that is separated into each day of the week. And, let me tell you, it works wonders! . So much so that I designed my very own notepad! It’s available for purchase through my Etsy shop! Pretty cool, right? 🙌🏻 Click the link in bio to grab your own weekly to do list notepad and in the comments below, tell me what helps you stay on top of accomplishing your goals and tasks each week?
Yesterday was more than just an average Sunday for me, as I celebrated women battling cancer alongside @courageforthesoul as Maria Luisa continued her mission of helping women battling cancer feel beautiful. 💕 Each woman was gifted and photographed in one of @courageforthesoul’s scarves after being treated to make up by the talented @makeupbykerryanne and @jennys_hair_couture. 🎉 The outcome was stunning and it was truly a pleasure meeting, photographing and working alongside such a wonderful group of women. 💃🏻 Stay tuned for more from the shoot! ☺️
After today’s snow storm, I’ve been hiding inside with my ☕️ and 🖥 and with this view from my trip to Colombia on my mind. 😎 Even though I’m a seasoned Midwesterner, I don’t think I’ll ever fully get used to the transition from fall to winter. . Did it snow where you are today? Or does your view look a little more like this photo? . In the comments below, share with me! 😊
“Nature does not hurry yet everything is accomplished.” - lao tzu . I was participating in an outdoor yoga class this summer when the instructor mentioned a version of this loa tzu quote. . In that moment I realized that I actually was in the exact place that I needed to be, not just in the warrior pose, but in every aspect in life. . We tend to rush things in our every day, impatient for what is to come next. But rather than hurry away every moment, why wouldn’t we soak up the process as much as possible along the way? . Yes, life requires putting in the hard work to move ahead but trusting the process that everything will work out in time, when it’s supposed to, is just as important. . When I returned home I grabbed my trusty @tombowusa brush pen and wrote out the quote as a reminder to never doubt that I’m exactly where I need to be and only then is it possible to take the next step.
