• 2018 has been so sweet 💕. I’m a proud wife + mommy to two little girls and with a new year ahead of us I’ve been reflecting a lot on my life and my priorities/desires/my heart, my home, and my family. If I’m being completely transparent, I’ve focused specific prayers on how to handle this blog/Instagram of mine and what I continue to hear is, “I feel so free.” And I feel that means it’s time for me to “be free” from the silly pressures I put on myself to deliver content, the constant connection to my phone, and the whole “keep up” game that can come with social media in general. For those of you who have been following since the start, it won’t surprise you that I’m following in my sister’s footsteps and choosing this year to be “my year.” I want to be focusing on my faith, family, and sense of feeling free!! It’s a bit of a bittersweet goodbye from this part of my life...it’s been so fun sharing mommyhood, recipes, connecting with other mamas, and honestly having some extra finances but I just really feel like it’s time to step away & I know the guidance of the Holy Spirit has helped lead me to this decision. I know I’ll get a lot of, “will you check in/come back/etc.” and the honest answer is: I don’t know. It’s time to do some “pruning” of my life and shift my focuses and priorities according to what He has called me to do. I want to thank all of y’all and virtually hug you for your support, love, and kindness towards me & my family. I appreciate you all more than you know. Thank you for your understanding and for your love!!! So many blessings to you and yours. xx, hope

I keep looking at Francis Jane and saying to Spyros, “Isn’t it incredible that Jesus came into the world like this?” He came as a BABY – the most helpless, vulnerable way to enter into this world.   • Y’all know I’m a self proclaimed #crazydachshundlady and so it’s only fitting I start this month of November being thankful for this pup 🐶🌭. . . . If you’ve been following for awhile you might remember that a little over a year ago our beloved first baby, Doxie, began having seizures. It was so scary and so so sad. Many weeks of testing and many dollars 💸 later we found out she had meningitis. Thankfully, we caught it early and have been able to treat her with medications since then 🙃. . . . Doxie is still on her seizure meds and steroids, another task to remember in all of the #momlife craze, but we wouldn’t have it any other way because she’s a part of our family. We adore this sweet dog, the first baby we ever loved, and we’re so thankful for her health today. She may be the million dollar dachshund 🤣 but she’s worth it. . . . So, Doxie June, even though you don’t have Instagram and are a dog and can’t read I know you feel our love 💕 and we feel yours right back! Thanks for being so sweet with your little sisters and for loving me and your dad (your fave playmate) so hard. Now I’ll stop typing this and go back to sofa snuggles with you because that’s all you really care about! #rachelwellsphotography #dachshundsofinstagram
